I know plenty of teens are reading Colleen Hoover I know plenty of teens are reading Colleen Hoover or Fourth Wing, but those are definitely NOT the romance I want to be handing over to my 14 year old daughter! If you’re looking for some sweet YA romances (and based on the fact that when I shared one favorite author who does great YA romance without spicy scenes, it had more than 10 million views and 20k+ requests for the link, I know lots of people are!), I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite suggestions, including ones my 14 year old daughter has loved! It had literally never occured to me that this was a way ANYONE was using the library. My method is more “check out plenty of options and read as many as I can based on the due dates.” What is your library checkout style? Last summer, I looked ahead to the next 12 months Last summer, I looked ahead to the next 12 months and realized we had a LOT of travel coming up (including 3 international trips). So many travelers had raved about lounge access - free food, a comfortable place to wait for your flight, and sometimes other fun perks - and I thought it would make our trips more enjoyable! Lots of people told me there wasn’t any easy way to make it work with a family and that you’d have to open so many cards to get entry for 6 people that you might as well just buy your own overpriced airport food! Fortunately, @vfamilytravels told me that all those people were wrong and walked me through the whole process (she’s a wizard with points and miles!) and it turned out to be so simple. And my kids were in HEAVEN (frankly so was I!) with the free food at each airport we stopped at. A couple of notes: *The card has an annual fee of $395, but it does come with a yearly $300 travel credit to use in the Capital One Travel Portal - we used it for a rental car on our Costa Rica trip and it was super easy to redeem. You’ll also get reimbursed up to $120 if you use this card to pay for TSA precheck or Global Entry *The Priority Pass membership allows 2 guests per card and authorized users are free, so my husband is an authorized user, we each get a Priority Pass with 2 guests..... that’s how we get 6 people in the lounge! My public library does a puzzle swap about twice a My public library does a puzzle swap about twice a year but I’ve never been able to go. Last week, Bart and I went with a couple of our girls plus some friends and we had a great time “pursuing the merchandise” (if you said that in a Jack Kelly from Newsies voice, we should be friends).  I was especially pleased to snag a Springbok puzzle since multiple people have told me recently that it is their favorite brand and I can’t wait to try it out. I grabbed a couple of White Mountain and Ravensburger puzzles which are some of my favorite puzzle brands, along with some Cobble Hill puzzles and a few other new-to-me brands.
