When people say “what do you say to people who s When people say “what do you say to people who say that audiobooks don’t count as real reading?” my answer is “why would I even bother with this conversation?”

If someone is that committed to making sure only what they deem “real” counts in my annual book count, I can tell you right here and now that this is not someone I’m interested in having much of a conversation with and what do I care what they think about my reading life?

There are no book police.

Enjoy your audiobook and quietly roll your eyes at the people who want to make up arbitrary rules for adult reading

(Also, this isn’t 100% true, but I have found a high correlation between people who want to argue about this and people who don’t read much at all. I find that they’re often defensive about their own reading life and so want to discount yours to make themselves feel better).
Picking out these books series in the matching boo Picking out these books series in the matching book ends was seriously so fun!

And my girls have talked about these books and showed off their book ends more than almost anything else they got for Christmas

And I really love watching the official announcements and seeing if I agree or disagree with their picks (and it is so fun to hear what you and your kids and students pick as favorites too!)

Comment with the word BOOKS and I’ll send the link for this year’s list of 40+ picture books right to your DMs!

Grab this one next time you’re at the library!

As a lifelong library user (and someone who is run As a lifelong library user (and someone who is running out of bookshelf space!), I’m almost always going to choose a library book if it’s available.

And the Library Extension (which works on Chrome and Firefox) makes it super easy for me to know if my library has a book!

Have you used this before?

Every time I talk about the audiobook listen inclu Every time I talk about the audiobook listen included in Amazon Music Unlimited, people say “how do I find those audiobooks?!”

Good news - it literally couldn’t be easier. Search for the title of the audiobook you want to listen to, select it and voila! You’re ready to listen!

And if you don’t have Amazon Music Unlimited, this is the moment to sign up, because for a few hours, you can get it for free for three months (that’s three audiobooks of your choice!)

Comment with the word FREE and I’ll send the link to grab that deal right to your DMs!
