Book Deals for Black Friday Weekend

Happy weekend!

We had our first snowfall yesterday and it’s giving me ALL the “stay home with a book and a blanket” vibes!

There are some great book deals going on right now, but also a couple of book related deals I don’t want you to miss!

First is 3 free months of Kindle UnlimitedThink of it like Netflix for books – a massive library of books you can read and you don’t even need a Kindle. You can read them on the free Kindle app on any device! Take two seconds to click through and snag that deal (then you can cancel immediately and still keep it for all three months!).

Second is the Audible deal going on right now. It’s $5.95/month for four months of Audible PLUS this weekend you can get a $20 Audible credit too! That is a smoking deal for unlimited access to the Audible Plus catalog AND any audiobook of your choice each month.

Third, Kindle readers are on sale right now – if you need help deciding which one is right for you, I have a breakdown of each here!

And fourth, if you’ve been waiting for a Yoto deal, now is the moment. This weekend, the Yoto Player (not the Yoto Mini), cards and accessories are on sale for 20% off. I HIGHLY recommend you first buy a Yoto Club membership and then you’ll get another 10% off discount on top of the Black Friday deal for your whole order. I have a whole post about the Yoto Player here (and one about the Yoto Mini here) and why we love it!

Okay! Onto the book deals!

Book Deals for Black Friday Weekend

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan – ebook
I LOVED the movie, but never read the book – with the book this inexpensive, it’s probably the time to fix that!

Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May – ebook
There is no better time than now to read this book about rest and restoration – especially if life feels a little heavy and hard right now.

The Nature of Fragile Things by Susan Meissner – ebook
Susan Meissner is always one of the most highly recommended historical fiction writers when I am needing recommendations. I really enjoyed this one about three women during the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. (Full review here)

Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella – audiobook
If you know me, you know I have a serious soft spot in my heart for Sophie Kinsella. I find her books so hilarious and Christmas Shopaholic is no exception. It’s totally light-hearted and made me laugh out loud AND get in the Christmas spirit. Win-win. Lots of people have asked if you need to read the other Shopaholic books to enjoy this one and I don’t think you need to! It stands on its own pretty solidly.

Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan – audiobook
I LOVE Julia Whelan’s audiobook narration (she narrates Book Lovers!) and her new book that she wrote (and narrated!) was an instant best seller. This book is especially fun because it’s all about the world of audiobook narrating. The main character, Sewanee, used to be an actress, but now she has moved into audiobook narration. She got her start in romance novels which she’s decided to leave that behind her, but she gets roped into doing one last romance project. This final project ends up being with the most popular male audiobook narrator of the romance genre, Brock McKnight. You will definitely want to listen to this one on audio! Heads up for one brief open door scene.

The Measure by Nikki Erlick – audiobook
I listened to this story where everyone wakes up to find a box on their doorstep with a string that equates to how long you have left to live. Naturally, the world goes nuts about it. This is one of those books you REALLY want to talk about with someone!

The Terrible Two by Mac Barnett & Jory JohnThe Terrible Two by Mac Barnett & Jory John – audiobook
Ella and I listened to it together several years ago (she went on and listened to the rest of them alone) and it’s hilarious about two boys trying to out-prank each other. Now, all four of my girls can recite pretty much the entire book from memory because they’ve listened to it so many times. It’s also a Libro.fm deal so you can make it into a Yoto card!

Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks by Jason Reynolds – audiobook
This fun book retells 10 short stories about what happens after the school bell rings. Nobody does middle grade books like Jason Reynolds. It’s also a Libro.fm deal so you can make it into a Yoto card!
