Book Deals This Week
One of the new things I’m excited about doing in 2020 is sharing weekly book deals!
I get lots of questions about building your personal libraries without breaking the bank, so each Saturday, I’ll be sharing 2-5 e-books, physical books or audiobooks that are on great sale.
And if you see other great deals, I’d be delighted if you’d let me know about them! It’s such a help to our whole community!
Stretched Too Thin: How Working Moms Can Lose the Guilt, Work Smarter, and Thrive by Jessica N. Turner – eBook for $0.99
I loved Jessica’s book The Fringe Hours which I read about five years ago and I have a hard copy of this on my shelf that I can’t wait to dive into this year! And the eBook version is a STEAL (if you signed up for the Kindle Unlimited deal this week, it’s actually included in the Kindle Unlimited library so you can read it for free!)
Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech – eBook for $1.99
I read this about a decade ago when I was working hard on my Newbery goal and this one just was SO delightful. I can’t wait to read it with my girls in the next year or two. (Full review here)
The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right by Atul Gawande – eBook for $3.99
One of the best books I’ve read in the past five years was Atul Gawande’s Being Mortal. I still think about that book at least weekly. This is another of his books with phenomenal reviews and I’ve been meaning to read it for literally years.
Oz. The Complete Collection by L. Frank Baum – Audiobook for $0.82
You guys. I cannot even believe this deal. This is the ENTIRE Oz collection (64 hours of audio!) for less than a dollar. Would you like a 5-piece chicken nuggets or weeks of entertainment for your children?
The Checklist Manifesto is unexpectedly fascinating. Recommending!!
I love that you’ll be featuring deals now. Thank you!! 🙂
That Oz deal is crazy!! Just ordered it. I read them all as kids and was delighted by the series, but have held off on the movie because my oldest is pretty sensitive to scary scenes and the Wicked Witch is a little much. We are huge audiobook fans with our girls, so I can’t wait to introduce them to Oz.
I was only charged $0.66 for the Oz collection🎉
I’m getting so many messages saying this! I’m still seeing $0.82 on my end, but I’m THRILLED you guys are getting it for an even better deal!
So happy you are doing this! I’m always on the lookout for book deals! 66 cents on the Oz Collection for me too!
Love this! I am always on the look-out for ebook deals!
If you’re looking to add Christmas picture books to your collection, Barnes & Nobel has 50% off of some great titles!
So fun! Just bought the Oz books for when my kids are (much) older – loved reading them when I was younger! 🙂
I just saw today that Kindle version of ‘The Princess Diarist’ by Carrie Fisher is on sale today for $1.99 (normally $12.99). (For any of those Star Wars fans….)
