6 Book Deals for a July Weekend

This week has been go-go-go at our house and I’m looking forward to a little bit of calm before the storm of next week when family starts arriving for my brother’s wedding and lots of festivities.

Here are some of my favorite book deals going on this weekend:

Book Deals For a july Weekend

A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate AlbusA Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus – audiobook – $3.99
It’s 1940 in London, right in the middle of World War II when three children become orphaned. Unsure what to do, they leave their home and head for the countryside in hopes of finding a good temporary or even permanent home. This one is PHENOMENAL – one of my favorite books I’ve read with my children.

Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam Grant – ebook – $1.99
If you’re a Malcom Gladwell fan (which I am), this is a book in the same sort of vein and I LOVED it. I especially loved that it ends with practical ideas for implementing these principles into your own life, whether that’s as a parent, a business owner, a neighbor, or a student. (Full review here)

Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport – ebook – $1.99
I love Cal Newport and this book, his newest one, is probably his biggest hit (for good reason!). I still think Deep Work is his best, but this one is worth reading too!

The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth – ebook – $6.99

I read this one earlier this year and it’s a fun twisty family drama that kept me guessing until the very end. I did a 30 second book review of it here, if you’re curious!

With Malice by Eileen Cook – ebook – $1.99
I read this YA thriller on a road trip to Las Vegas and was sucked in from the very first page! (Full review here)

Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear – audiobook $2.99
This crazy popular mystery series follows Maisie Dobbs who worked on the French front as a nurse during WWI and is now trying to put her life back together after the war, working as a private investigator. You couldn’t ask for a better heroine to cheer on. (Full review here)
