7 Book Deals for the First Week of November

I can’t believe we’re in November now!

I know lots of people are putting up their Christmas decorations this week but I love to wait until after Thanksgiving because it’s so restful for me NOT to have holiday decorations up for a few weeks after I take down the Halloween decorations.

Instead, I’ll be snuggling up with a good book and there are LOTS of good books on sale (including some that are perfect for making Yoto cards with!).

7 Book Deals for the First Week of November

The Maidens by Alex Michaelides – ebook
Before I read his bestseller The Silent Patient, I listened to this one and it was GRIPPING about a charismatic professor, the exclusive group of female students he’s created and a string of murders.

Three James Herriot Classics: All Creatures Great and Small, All Things Bright and Beautiful, and All Things Wise and Wonderful by James Herriot – ebook
You cannot go wrong with a James Herriot book, a country vet in England who spends his days caring for farm animals and house pets after WWI. These books are sweet and funny and just right for snuggling up with (bonus: watch the very excellent PBS Masterpiece series after you’re done).

The Distant Hours by Kate Morton – ebook
I love the Kate Morton books I’ve read (The Secret Keeper is my favorite!), and this feels like the perfect time to read this one set during WWII.

The Cartographers by Peng ShepherdThe Cartographers by Peng Shepherd – audiobook
This one has been on my radar for months and with a sale going on, this might be the perfect time to pick up this thriller about magical maps (but first I need to check if there are maps in the endpapers!).

The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth GrahameThe Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame – audiobook
This one’s a classic and fun to listen to as a family or for kids on their own. (This one is a Libro.fm title, which means you can make it into a Yoto card!).

Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. MilneWinnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne – audiobook
More than two hours of the timeless classic Winnie the Pooh read by Joel Froomkin. It’s always a favorite around here. (This one is also a Libro.fm title, which means you can make it into a Yoto card!).

The Life Council by Laura TremaineThe Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs by Laura Tremaine – audiobook
Author and podcaster of 10 Things to Tell You, Tremaine shares her philosophies on friendship, and describes the 10 roles of friends every woman needs in her life. She also gives tons of tips for making and keeping friends, which is a topic I care DEEPLY about!
