Middle of May Book Deals

We’ve been on a little family getaway for the past few days and it’s been so fun to soak up some sunshine, do puzzles (I packed this one and Ella and I finished it yesterday!), and play endless games of Clue, which my girls had never played before but have been so into!

In addition to these book deals, don’t miss that today is the last day of Stuff Your Earbuds where literally hundreds of audiobooks are completely free! All the details here.

part of your world bookPart of Your World by Abby Jimenez – audiobook
Alexis is a high-profile, 37-year old doctor who just got out of an emotionally abusive relationship and has decided men weren’t going to be a big part of the picture anymore. That continues even after meeting small town mayor, Daniel Grant, who is also 10 years her younger. Or so she tries. Their relationship is supposed to be casual, but it isn’t always that simple. The banter and wit in this one is SO good and Abby Jimenez is frequently compared to Emily Henry – for good reason! (Heads up for several open door scenes)

zero days bookZero Days by Ruth Ware – audiobook
Ruth Ware was SUCH a fun addition to my reading life this past year. I’d heard about her for years but never picked up one of her books until this summer and then I blazed through four or five of her books this year. I don’t typically read a lot of mystery/thrillers but this one, about a husband and wife team who test digital and physical security for companies and then have a job go VERY wrong, was so fun.

Before we were yoursBefore We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate – ebook
I listened to the first half of this on audio and then it was due back at the library, and with the price this low – it makes me excited to pick it back up again.

mother daughter murder nightMother-Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon – audiobook
This one sounds really fun, it is described as “Gilmore Girls, but with murder” as a grandmother, mother, and daughter trio try to solve the murder next door.

the day the world came to townThe Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim DeFede – audiobook
I listened to this one for the 20 year anniversary of 9/11 and the narrator reminded me SO MUCH of Tom Hanks. It is a true story set in a tiny town in Newfoundland where 38 jetliners had to land after U.S. airspace was closed down following the 9/11 attacks. Although the passengers nearly doubled the population, this small town welcomed their accidental visitors, bringing them into their homes until they were able to leave.

Die with zeroDie With Zero by Bill Perkins – audiobook
We just started reading this one for Everyday Reading Book Club, so if you haven’t snagged it yet, this is a great deal! And if you would like to join in with us, it’s not too late! This is a money book like no other. It’s been such a fascinating and useful way to think about how I spend my life and what I want out of the money I make. It feels like one of those books that almost everyone would get something out of!
