Book Deals for the Weekend of March 21

March has been a great month for book deals so far and that trend hasn’t let up!

Here are some of the book deals I’m most excited about this weekend!

Daisy Jones and the Six book

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I was ALL IN on this book once I started it. It’s the story of a rock music band in the seventies, and it’s hard to remember that it’s a novel, not non-fiction. It feels THAT real. It’s told through interviews with Daisy and Billy and other members of the band, family members and friends. It could be wildly confusing, but somehow it just WORKS. And the audio version is incredible!

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion Vol. 6 by Beth Brower
If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I love this series! I had read the entire series twice before these came out on audio and I was so excited to try out the audio version – wait until you hear all the voices the narrator does! And if you struggled getting into the physical books, I’m telling you the audiobook really helps. I can’t believe some of the series is on sale for under $5!

Die with zero

Die With Zero by Bill Perkins
This is a money book like no other. It’s been such a fascinating and useful way to think about how I spend my life and what I want out of the money I make. It feels like one of those books that almost everyone would get something out of!

fancy nancy collection

The Fancy Nancy Audio Collection by Jane O’Connor
With 31 Fancy Nancy stories included, this is a LOT of bang for your audiobook collection buck. Plus you don’t have to worry about correctly pronouncing some of those big words! (And this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

the berlin letters book

The Berlin Letters by Katherine Reay
Growing up in the US with her German grandparents who left Berlin in the 60s after the Berlin Wall went up, Luisa thought both her parents died in a car accident. Then in her work at the CIA, she comes across a piece of information that makes her question everything she knows about her family. Could her father still be alive and trapped in East Berlin? This gripping Cold War novel tells the story of a family divided by the Berlin Wall – told in a dual timeline from the perspective of Luisa, and her father Haris.

The Bletchley Riddle

The Bletchley Riddle by Ruta Sepetys and Steve Sheinkin
When Ruta Sepetys and Steve Sheinkin get together to co-write a book about WWII codebreakers, you know that’s a book you aren’t going to want to miss. This story takes place in the summer of 1940 with two siblings who love riddles and puzzles. And they live in the right place for that since they live at Britain’s top secret codebreaking factory, Bletchley Park, where the brightest minds work together to crack the Nazi’s infamous Enigma cipher. My 12 year old and I listened to this together on a trip and we were both gripped. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

Bedtime Stories for 5 Year Olds by Puffin
These stories are perfect for winding down for bedtime – soothing sound effects and music included. Bedtime Stories for 6 Year Olds and Bedtime Stories for 7 Year Olds are also on sale! (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

anxious people book

Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
You may know him from his book A Man Called Ove. But in this one, when a bank robbery doesn’t go as planned, the bank robber, in an attempt to hide from the police, ends up at an open house for an apartment unit (prospective buyers and a realtor included). Let’s just say this bank robbery turns into a hostage situation unlike any you have ever heard!

The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn
I couldn’t believe I hadn’t read a Kate Quinn until January for our Everyday Reading Book Club and since I have been loving her! This one, based on a true story about a Ukrainian sharpshooter known as “Lady Death” during WWII, sounds like another one I need to add to my list!
