Book Deals for an April Weekend
We’re wrapping up our spring break (we spent several days in St. George swimming and soaking up the sunshine) and I’ve been reading up a storm with the Summer Reading Guide just around the corner!
Whether you’re spring-breaking or just enjoying the weekend, here are some great book deals.
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan – ebook
I LOVED the movie, but never read the book – with the book this inexpensive, it’s probably the time to fix that!
Call the Midwife: Shadows of the Workhouse by Jennifer Worth – audiobook
If you’ve watched the wildly popular BBC show, this is a great time to listen to the memoir that inspired it! (This is a Chirp audiobook deal – If you’re new to Chirp, here’s all the details on how it works).
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley – audiobook
It took me a while to warm up to The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, especially with the audio version, but I ended up really enjoying this murder mystery with its incredibly precocious narrator. (Full review here)
The Green Ember by S. D. Smith – ebook
This adventure story about rabbits is a fan favorite and all four books are included in Kindle Unlimited. I can’t believe how many people have told me to read this with my girls!
oh dear. I just downloaded Chirp and purchased six titles. I am in love with Audible, but I don’t always find good titles through their recommendations. Chirp seems a little better in that. I will need to plan a driving trip!
The book deal articles are my favorite, thanks for posting. I lucked out and got the Green Ember book via Kindle for free. Thanks again!
I lost 10 lbs listening the Crazy Rich Asian trilogy while running. I loved it so much I listened to all 3 books again. Perfectly light and fluffy for running.
