Book Deals for Late January

Happy Saturday!

I’m riding high on the fun of our first ski runs with all six of us – I’ve known this was something I wanted since we moved to Utah 3+ years ago (when I didn’t ski at all!) and it was such a thrill to see it coming to life after lots of work on all our parts.

Now I’m ready for a cozy day at home, with plenty of good books.

Here are some terrific books on sale this weekend.

Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do by Jennifer L. Eberhardt – ebook
I listened to this one last year and I’m so glad to see the ebook version on super sale!
It reminds me a little of
Quiet with a great mix of storytelling and research.

Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah – audiobook
I’ve really loved Kristin Hannah’s books for the past couple of years, but I haven’t read her well-loved Winter Garden that came out about a decade ago. I’m excited to dive into this wintery historical fiction for the 2022 Everyday Reading Book Club December book! Two estranged sisters are brought together again when their beloved father is dying. Their mother has never been warm, but their father makes her promise to tell their daughters a story she began years earlier about a love story that spanned sixty years.

The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys – ebook
Ruta Sepetys does terrific YA historical fiction (probably her most famous is Salt to the Sea) and this is her newest title (until another one comes out next month)!

Irresistible: The Rise of Addictive Technology and the Business of Keeping Us Hooked by Adam Alter – audiobook
I’ve heard about this book for ages and now, as we’re wrapping up The Power of Fun, feels like the perfect time to listen!
