Four Favorite Things for January

I can’t believe January is more than halfway over.

I feel like everyone always complains about February being the longest month, but for me it flies by because we have two birthdays, Valentine’s Day, and it’s a short month to begin with.

January, on the other hand, usually feels one million years long and I’m never too sad when it’s done.

Here are some things that are keeping January a little more pleasant for me:

Four JANUARY FAVORITES

KNIT SLEEVE JACKET
This is the jacket I reach for every time I leave the house when the weather is cold but not FREEZING. It’s much warmer than a light jacket and I love the sleek silhouette of the knit sleeves (instead of the puffy sleeves of some of my puffer jackets). It’s marked down $34 from when I bought it AND you can use the code AMSEASON for another 30% off that. It comes in two fun colors and it’s been my most worn jacket this winter.

OLIVE & JUNE CUTICLE SERUM
I got this in my original Olive & June Mani System (you can read my review of it here), but I didn’t use it much until winter when the dry cold weather started wreaking havoc on my cuticles. And now I understand the mega hype around this thing – it is MAGICAL. It soaks in within about 10 seconds and then . . . suddenly your fingertips and nails and cuticles look better than they ever have been and aren’t peeling and painful all the time. I keep it in my bedside table drawer and put it on just about every night when I get in bed to read. I’m a super fan.

NELLAMOON NASHVILLE CANDLE
I got this as a gift for Christmas and I’m truly obsessed with it. Most afternoons, when Tally is at preschool and I sit down at my desk to work, I light this and enjoy the cozy glow and incredible smell that makes it feel like a real treat to be in my office. It has a perfectly rich, not too sweet scent that lasts for hours after I blow it out, and I could not love it more. I’d never heard of Nellamoon before this but now I kind of want to try all their candles.

SAXON KING CHAIRS
When we moved into this house, the white chairs we had in the living room were just too small (we ended up moving them down to our basement). We’ve LOVED our Apt2B sectional for the past 6 years, so it made sense to look to them for new chairs and these Saxon King Chairs are the PERFECT fit in our living room. They fill the space better, they’re SUPER comfy, and they doubled the amount of seating since each of them can fit two adults (that like each other) and very easily an adult and a child. I LOVE them. They come in a ton of colors – we chose Buckwheat.

What are you loving right now? I’d love to hear!

  1. Do you have a picture of the chairs in your space? I’m in the market for new chairs but I’m having a hard time deciding what I want.
