6 Book Deals for a May Weekend

It’s been a fun weekend so far – we got back from our trip to Japan and the Summer Reading Chart came out yesterday (I’ve loved all the very kind messages and comments about it. Thank YOU!!).

It’s also a great weekend for book deals – here are some of my favorites!

6 Book Deals for a May Weekend

Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ebook
I’ve read every book Taylor Jenkins Read has written and I think this is her best one. Carrie Soto is the best tennis star tennis has ever seen. She’s been retired for six years and now someone young and up and coming is gunning for her title. Well, Carrie Soto is not about to let that happen, so she comes out of retirement, asks her dad to coach her again, and she is going to do everything in her power to try and keep that title (even though being a 35 year old tennis star is not the same as being a tennis star in your twenties). I blew through this book in a single sitting in one afternoon. I LOVED it so much!

Imagine if the love of your life died in a plane crash and then, when you’d finally moved on, it turned out he wasn’t dead at all. I stayed up WAYYYYY too late reading this one. You can also add on the audiobook for less than $5 if you prefer to listen. (Full review here).

I recommend Janette Rallison all the time when people ask for clean book recommendations. She’s so funny and her books are just 100% delightful. This one about a nanny to a handsome single-dad movie star is just an absolutely fun and fluffy read!

Embarrassingly I haven’t yet gotten around to reading The Alice Network, about two women spies in both World War I and World War II.

I LOVE Gretchen Rubin and this book, which really made a name for her, is so delightful and perfect for a reset time, which is what I see the beginning of summer as. (Full review here)

A Bear Called Paddington by Michael BondA Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond – audiobook
You can’t go wrong with this classic about a bear found in a train station who loves orange marmalade and accidentally is always getting into scrapes. Plus, this is a Libro.fm title so you can make your own Yoto card with it!
