After being out of town last weekend, it feels great to be home and back to a normal routine.
I’m heading out on a run and then Ella has a soccer game today.
I also am in the middle of a new book and hoping to get some good reading in!
Here are some great books on sale this weekend!
Hit Makers by Derek Thompson – audiobook $3.99
I always love a good non-fiction read and this was a REALLY good non-fiction read. I have told so many people about various anecdotes from this book, and as a blogger, small business owner, and consumer, this was fascinating on so many levels. I mean, why DID 50 Shades of Gray become so massively popular? Why did the iPhone succeed when most people surveyed before its release say they didn’t want it? This book talks about all of that and lots more.
Give and Take by Adam Grant – ebook
I love Adam Grant and this is the first book I read of his (his newest book, Think Again, was on this year’s summer reading guide!). Definitely such a good one about working together.
Moon Over Manifest by Clare Vanderpool – audiobook $3.99
One of my favorite Newbery winners in recent years, this story is told by two different voices – a young girl during the Great Depression and a young boy just before WWI breaks out. (Full review here)
Front Desk by Kelly Yang – ebook
This middle grade novel about a family that comes to the US from China in the 90s, it’s such a fascinating look at the immigrant experience. I can’t wait to read this with my girls. (Full review here)
