Merrick has started doing a nifty little side-bar feature on her blog with a picture of what she wears every day. She’d asked me about doing it with her, but I said no because I guarantee I would fail miserably at taking AND uploading a picture of myself every day. I know myself.
Also, there is the teeny problem that I do not wear new cool clothing every day. Most days I look astonishingly similar to this:
I took this picture last Thursday night. Earlier in the day (that is, the part of the day before the temperature rose to 80 degrees), I had a bright green sweater on over the top. Embarrassingly, I had worn exactly that same outfit on Monday. Same shoes, same jeans, same shirt, same sweater, same hair.
In my defense, I did laundry on Wednesday night, so the shirt and jeans were clean again and just begging to be worn.
Also, except for going to work, I don’t really do any of the same things on Monday as I do on Thursday (I totally did this same thing in college – wearing different things MWF and then repeating on TTh). And at work, it’s mostly technology guys (if I see anyone, since I generally sit in my cube and see nothing but my computer), so I didn’t figure THEY’D notice.
Anyway, that is why I’m not posting pictures of what I’m wearing. It would shock you to know just how many variations on black shirts and jeans I can wear. Or maybe it wouldn’t.
Hey that’s not really fair. Sometimes you wear a black sweater and jeans!
You always look cute, Janssen, so go ahead and post your outfits! (Boy am I using exclamation points a lot today!)
Our uniforms are astonishingly similar. I currently own 3 mostly plain black t-shirts and they are all heavily rotated. And then a variety of colored plain t shirts courtesy of Downeast Basics/Shade/Etc. And jeans. Your shoes are cuter though…I usually wear flip flops.
You know what? A black shirt and jeans is a CLASSIC look! Rock it sister!
You might not wear very different outfits everyday, but at least you have a model stance. That’s something, right?
Some people have asked me to do a type of “How to dress cute and modest series”, which makes me laugh because most of the time I just walk around the house in my underwear all day since I never leave. 🙂
You’re so hawt, you look like a model.
xox
Different color, different style, but same concept. When I was in college everyone wore the same pair of jeans until they were disgusting. (Most students only owned 2 pairs.)
Now, it is still jeans with a different top, unless I have to go to the Valley or to work. Oh, and I wear slippers around the house.
Wow, as little as you think about fashion I think of it less. I never really thought about wearing the same things on MWF or T TH. I just wore whatever thing was clean. Even if I had worn in the previous day and washed it that night.
If it’s any consolation, you always look really nice!
ha, that’s awesome.
Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one who can’t come up with any other pose than the right hand on the hip. Very nice.
that sounds a lot like my wardrobe only mine includes lots of pj pants and a lot of spit up on my black shirts…eww!
I’m wearing the same thing in white today. However, skinny jeans run screaming when they see me, so mine are comfortably flared and too long though sporting the “ankle” label.
I cleaned out my closet last week and discovered I had 12 black t-shirt-type shirts. AND I still had laundry to do! So, I totally get this post!
You should take up substitute teaching. It’s great for repeating outfits. Not only do you see different students every day (and students can typically be considered the worst wordrobe critics), but you can be at an entirely different school and see NO one again. Also, when you have to dress up (ie. be professional) it’s a great wardrobe stretcher to be able to repeat outfits. You crack me up.
you look pretty!:)
i wear black all the time because it’s the only color that looks good on me…

thx for the comment too, i finally got it to work!
Aren’t you going shopping with Kayla when we go to AZ? Wes and I can stare out the window together.
Stacy and Clinton would say everything fits you well, which is the most important fashion tip! Next is accesorize!:)
I actually think you look very cute, and I dress quite similar to that myself!
Cute outfit!
Oh dear, if I posted what I wore each day, the blog would only have about 10 outfits that just rotate each week…and lots of dockers and khakis. Oh dear…I *am* a librarian.
I wear that a lot, too, and I think you look awesome! I usually wear a tank top instead of the t-shirt, though.
I love you Janssen! I’m much the same except my clothes are not always freshly laundered when I wear them a second time…
