Four Favorite Things for April
April has been a really fun month – after two big trips in February and March, it has felt so good to be home for a while, enjoying bike rides and getting the yard ready for the summer (including having our first outdoor movie of the year!).
Here are some of the things I’m loving this month (plus things my team members are loving!)
Thin Strap Sandals
I usually buy myself one new pair of sandals for the summer and this was the 2025 pair. I’d been on the lookout for something flat and comfortable (I have a fantastic pair of wedge sandals that I wear constantly – this is my third year wearing them. The original version is sold out but this is the updated style) so I wanted something more casual to complement that pair. I ordered these and have been wearing them as often as the spring weather allows! They dress up or down nicely, haven’t required any breaking in and I absolutely love them! (You can see them in the photo above!)
Crossbody Bag
My beloved belt bag that I’ve taken on trips for the last several years has been totally sold out for months with no restock in sight, so I’ve been on the lookout for a replacement. I ordered one of these bags for my fourteen year old and the moment I opened it, I ordered myself one too. It switches seamlessly from a crossbody bag to a belt bag, fits my basic Kindle, sunglasses, wallet, and keys, and it is so good I haven’t used another bag since it arrived. I ended up ordering ones for my three younger girls and we are all obsessed! (Some colors and patterns are 50% off PLUS my link will take an extra 15% off!).
Murdle Mystery Books
I got these mystery puzzle books for my girls for their Easter baskets and they were a huge hit! I did a reel about them before Easter and so many people ordered them and I’ve loved hearing how much other families are loving them too. These are perfect for road trips or airplane rides this summer too! (I got the kids one for my 14 year old but I should have gotten the adult version instead – it was very easy for her, although still fun).
$5 Ribbed Bike Shorts
I bought these shorts for my girls before our Costa Rica trip and they are so cute and comfy. The rib gives them a little higher end look and they come in several colors and sizes. They came with us to Australia too and they’ll definitely be on repeat all summer long here!
And here are the things my team members are loving right now!

Deducto
This is our family’s new favorite game! We had friends come to visit over spring break, they brought this game and I’m so glad they did. My kids 12-7 all love playing it. The game is simple, yet challenging. You are trying to figure out who your secret suspect is by the clues the other players give you. It’s the perfect 15-20 minute game. Quick tip…we put our 7 year old’s clue card in a photo protector so she can mark things off as we go. It’s a lot to remember and this system helps her out without giving her a huge advantage.

Nail Clippers
I cannot tell you how many nail clippers we have gone through in our house – they break, start cutting jagged, or stop cutting altogether. But I am solely to blame, because I am the one who buys cheap clippers. I finally decided that I am grown-up enough to buy a high quality pair of clippers and these ones are fantastic! They are sturdy, and cut cleanly through nails with minimal effort – even thick toenails!

Universal Thread Bermuda Shorts I’ve never had denim shorts that I’ve loved- until now! I bought this pair of shorts from target about a month ago and I have worn them every warm day since. The length and fit is absolutely perfect. I’ve had so many compliments on them and people ask where they are from. When I went to find the link I noticed they now offer them in an off white color too! You bet I added those to my cart in about two seconds.

Flip 7
My family has been loving this simple card game! It’s basically a variation on the idea of Blackjack, where you decide whether or not to be dealt a new card based on what you have previously been dealt. It’s a straightforward enough premise that my nine year old twins enjoy it, but challenging enough for adults too. It is also quick—a game can be played in 15 minutes. It’s been out of stock for ages so I’m thrilled it’s available again on Amazon!
