A Fantastic Weekend for April Book Deals

This is a SMOKING week for book deals!

LibroFM has a huge sale going on with tons of audiobooks under $5 PLUS it’s the last weekend to grab the 99 cent deal from Audible

Here are some of my favorite sale titles this weekend:

The Chronicles of Narnia Complete Audio Collection by C. S. Lewis – audiobook – $4.99
During World War II, four siblings are sent to the countryside of London where they are to be kept safe from the war. One of the children finds a wardrobe that has the ability to transport them to a completely different world called Narnia. This series is full of excitement and adventure and has been beloved for generations. This collection is well worth it with more than 33 hours of run time! (Plus, it’s a Libro.fm book, so you can make your own Yoto card with it!)

divine rivals book

Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross – audiobook – $4.99
After I mentioned Lovely War, so many people told me I’ll love this new book that includes Greek gods. Two rival journalists fall in love as they take on the warring gods and, you know, the fate of all mankind.

Accidental Beauty Queen

The Accidental Beauty Queen by Teri Wilson – ebook – $1.99
Charlotte is a school librarian and happy to spend her life buried in a book. Her twin sister, though, has spent her life chasing beauty pageant crowns and now is competing for Miss American Treasure. Except, the night before the pageant begins, Ginny has a horrible allergic reaction and begs Charlotte to take her place until Ginny is well enough to step back in. But even though they look alike, Charlotte and Ginny are wildly different – is there any way they can pull off a con at this level? (Full review here)

The wedding people

The Wedding People by Alison Espach – audiobook – $4.99
I picked this as one of my Book of the Month books and was sucked immediately in. It’s the story of a woman who arrives at a fancy hotel as the only occupant who is not there for a wedding. She quickly clicks with the bride and they start sharing their stories with each other which is a surprise to both of them. This one has trigger-warnings galore but it worked for me.

Remarkably Bright Creatures

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt – audiobook – $4.99
I wasn’t sure about this one, but I ended up really enjoying it. Each chapter alternates between three seemingly unconnected characters – one, being an octopus at an aquarium.

finlay donovan is killing it book

Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano – audiobook – $4.99
A suburban mom who, while going through a messy divorce, is mistaken for a contract assassin. She’s not going to kill someone . . . . but the money would really help get her manipulative ex-husband off her back. Laugh-out-loud funny and a little zany!

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid – audiobook – $4.99
I have read every book she’s written (this one is my favorite) so I didn’t want to skip this one and it didn’t disappoint! Four famous siblings throw a huge party every summer in Malibu. But this year? The mansion burns to the ground during the party. I listened to the audio version and it was so well done. I’m still thinking about it more than six months later – she is such a master at a large cast of characters. (Full review here)

green ember book

The Green Ember by S. D. Smith – audiobook – $4.99
This adventure story about rabbits is a fan favorite. I can’t believe how many people have told me to read this with my girls! (Plus, it’s a Libro.fm book, so you can make your own Yoto card with it!)

The Adventures of Paddington: Second Story Collection by HarperCollins Children’s Books – audiobook – $5.32
You can’t go wrong with this classic about a bear found in a train station who loves orange marmalade and accidentally is always getting into scrapes. This collection is filled with 6 silly new stories – sure to make little ones laugh! (Plus, this is a Libro.fm title so you can make your own Yoto card with it!)

Uglies

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld – audiobook – $3.18
Bart and I both loved this YA series that is about two decades old, (in fact, Tally’s blog name is because of this book – Bart was gunning to name her that for real, but I had to draw the line somewhere).

The Stories We Tell: Every Piece of Your Story Matters by Joanna Gainesaudiobook – $4.99
I don’t think there is anything Joanna Gaines can’t make beautiful! In a very heartfelt and honest journey of her story, Joanna shares how we can all share our own stories. It’s a good reminder that no matter how messy or unique our stories are, we matter and we are all connected. Plus, it’s narrated by her!

The Perfect Rom-Com by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook – $4.99
This was such a fun read! After a disastrous pitch, aspiring author Bryony Page lands an unexpected ghostwriting gig that skyrockets someone else to fame. Little did she know, she would fall for the literary agent who might just help her step into the spotlight herself.

The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly – ebook – $1.99
In the sweltering summer of 1899, eleven-year-old Calpurnia Tate discovers a microscopic world teeming with life…and a growing desire to break free from the expectations placed on girls in her sleepy Texas town. With her cranky grandfather as her guide, Callie learns about science, curiosity, and the courage to blaze her own trail.

How to Plot a Payback by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook – $4.99
This is another one by Melissa Ferguson that I read last spring. She writes clean romance with lots of mishaps and funny dialogue – I don’t think her writing is as hilarious as Sophie Kinsella but they’re definitely fun romance reads. This one is my favorite of hers so far!

The cul de sac war

The Cul-de-Sac War by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook – $3.99
I loved her book Meet Me in the Margins, and this enemies-to-lovers romance about neighbors trying to drive each other out of the neighborhood, sounds just as fun!

Maisie Dobbs

Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear – audiobook – $4.99
This crazy popular mystery series follows Maisie Dobbs who worked on the French front as a nurse during WWI and is now trying to put her life back together after the war, working as a private investigator. You couldn’t ask for a better heroine to cheer on. (Full review here)
