My 3 Favorite Pajama Sets for Women
Nearly five years ago, I decided I was ready to be a real pajama wearer.
No more free t-shirts and random pj bottoms.
I started asking around for pajama recommendations and trying out different brands and styles and now I ALWAYS wear real pajamas and have quite a few pajama sets.
Here are my very favorite pajama sets:

Tommy John’s Second Skin Sleep Sets
No question about it, these are NOT cheap, but for a hot sleeper like me, they are magical and basically the only pajama set I can actually sleep in without tossing them off in the middle of the night. Sometimes they have them sold in sets (right now, the set is only one pattern) or you can buy the top and bottom separately. I have two sets of these and I wear them alllll summer long. They also have options with tank tops or shorts so whatever your pajama set preference, they probably have an option for you. Watch for sales, which happen frequently.
I also have a set of their long-sleeve button down pajamas (not the Second Skin style) that are nice and warm for winter!
Lates By Kate Jam Sets
These are a dead tie for me with Tommy John pajamas – I love them both! These are slightly cheaper (although . . . still pricey) and they have a great fit, come in tons of fun patterns and colors, and are a nice cool fabric too. I have two long sleeve sets and two short sleeve sets (my short-sleeve sets are about 3 years old and still look great with zero pilling, even though I callously disregard the washing instructions to turn them inside out to wash and lay flat to dry).
Stars Above Pajama Sets
These are a MUCH more affordable pajama set option. I bought a pair of these thermal ones probably four years ago and they still look brand new! They restock them in new colors and patterns every holiday season – my pair is red but not Christmas-y (they’re a red and white stripe).
Honorable mention goes to this Nordstrom set my sister Merrick gave me a few years ago for Christmas and this nightgown that I often reach for in the summer when our room is so hot!

The Joyspun line at Walmart is great!
My favorite are Shop Plain Jane! I guess they are called jogger sets, but they are my absolute favorite pajamas!
I’ll check those out – I’ve been doing the real pyjama thing since my oldest was 1 (and I wanted to feel like less of a mess when I was lounging on the couch with my book before bed).
These days, surprising, I’ve been leaning on H&Ms sets – the ones with the button down shirts. They were handy for nursing, but they drape really well and hold up well so far, and they’re very comfortable and affordable. I also have a Miiyu knit robe that I absolutely adore and highly recommend to anyone who wants something cozy and warm that also looks surprisingly cute.
I love Shop Plain Jane! I found the Lates by Kate to be cut not for bigger bodies, and Shop Plain Jane seem to be much more size inclusive.
