Going the Distance

Over the Memorial Day holiday, our church had a free 5K and 10K on Saturday morning.

After a lot of wishy-washy talk on my part, I finally decided to run the 5K.

Despite it being the morning after school let out, there was a pretty good crowd.

Bart decided to run with me, and he pushed Ella in the jogging stroller while I carried the baby.

The four of us finished with a time of 28:50.

Yes, four!

December 2nd, 2012!
We are pretty excited:
Even if Ella thinks a doughnut for breakfast is way more exciting than a new sibling

  4. Ahhh! I went back to reread the line about carrying the baby to see if you were jogging while holding a friend's child in the baby bjorn. But alas, on completing the reading, my happy hopes were confirmed! Huge congrats to you!

  5. I also had to do the "reread" a few times before I caught on. Then I was instantly excited for you. And then I was instantly full of impressivement (it's a word)that your pregnant 5k is my non pregnant 5k best.

  6. Congrats, Janssen! Although I am a bit concerned – if Baby #2 is half as cute as Ella, I might fall down dead with the compounding adorableness.

  7. Congrats!!! It's so obvious you guys are going to make all beautiful children. Loved the cute way you announced the exciting news.
