Fall Weekend Book Deals for November
Happy Saturday!
Before we get to the book deals, I have to tell you about the most delightful Christmas romance I read this week (no spice, no language) – it’s called One Foggy Christmas and it is included in Kindle Unlimited. If you don’t have a membership, you can get a free trial here (heads up that you don’t need a Kindle to use Kindle Unlimited – you can read on the free Kindle app on basically any device).
Here are some of the other book deals to keep an eye out for!
Heartwood Hotel: A True Home by Kallie George
I’m always on the lookout for chapter books with lots of illustrations for the 4-6 crowd. This one is about a little mouse who stumbles into a hotel in a storm and takes a job as a maid. (Full review here) (This one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
I love A Christmas Carol and you cannot go wrong with this price! It is such a fun way to cozy up during the Christmas season and it’s only about three hours long, so it’s not a big time commitment.
Winter Stroll by Elin Hilderbrand
This series came highly recommended on my Favorite Christmas Romance post. In a Winter Street, a family Christmas gathering at Kelley Quinn’s Nantucket inn is thrown into turmoil by his four adult children’s personal dramas and the discovery of his second wife’s infidelity. And in this second book all the pieces are filled in!
Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel
I blew through this one in a day and it’s a total delight. Olive and Miles are both high school English teachers and she cannot stand him – he’s stolen her title as most popular teacher and makes her work life nearly unbearable. But then, of course, the need for a fake boyfriend comes up and she uses his name to get her mom and sister to back off of setting her up with her ex-boyfriend during the holidays. Which would be fine until the REAL Miles shows up for the holiday celebrations. This one doesn’t go past kissing, so if that’s your speed, this book is perfect (and A+ for witty banter and lots of chemistry!).
Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan
I LOVE Julia Whelan’s audiobook narration (she narrates Book Lovers!) and her book that she wrote (and narrated!) was an instant best seller. This book is especially fun because it’s all about the world of audiobook narrating. The main character, Sewanee, used to be an actress, but now she has moved into audiobook narration. She got her start in romance novels which she’s decided to leave that behind her, but she gets roped into doing one last romance project. This final project ends up being with the most popular male audiobook narrator of the romance genre, Brock McKnight. You will definitely want to listen to this one on audio! Heads up for one brief open door scene.
The Do-Over by Lynn Painter
One of my favorite books on the 2021 Summer Reading Guide was Better Than the Movies and I’ve been seeing her newest book popping up all over the place (it’s a Groundhog Day meets Valentine’s Day YA romance where the main character lives the same lousy Valentine’s Day over and over again).
Sarah, Plain and Tall Collection by Patricia MacLachlan
This audio collection includes the first three books in the beloved Newbery winning Sarah, Plain and Tall series. It includes Sarah, Plain and Tall, Skylark, and Caleb’s Story. Get ready to immerse yourself in life on the prairie! (This one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)
