Pretending I Think I Only Have Seven Weeks to Go
This jacket has lasted through many a closet purge (I think I bought it in 2006), but Bart has hated it since the moment I purchased it, and looking at these pictures, I do believe he may be right. Probably, on principle, though, I’ll need to keep it forever.
This DRESS, on the other hand, is the first thing I’ve worn in weeks that I’ve actually continued to wear past 7:05 p.m. I am very faithful about getting dressed every morning, but the moment Ella is in bed, my first stop is the pajama drawer in my closet.
Then, on this night, I realized I’d watched the last two episodes of White Collar Season 3 (why is it so hard to find season 4 online!?) while still wearing real clothing, and I vowed then and there to wear this dress at least twice a week for the rest of this pregnancy.
Speaking of this pregnancy, I’ve had high hopes that this baby won’t be late like Ella (eight days! she’s lucky she’s so cute), because I was always measuring small with her, but this baby has been right on the money all along.
Until. . . this week where suddenly she’s measuring a week behind. Maybe 41 week pregnancies are just my lot in life.
If this baby IS late, then I will be burning up the last days of pregnancy by going to Bart’s holiday work party (scheduled the day after my due date – last year I won a Kindle, so I’m anxious to go again) and the Smitten Kitchen Cookbook tour (which is ON my due date). So, you know, at least there are things to look forward to.

Oh, the Smitten Kitchen cookbook tour! I'm so jealous. My sister got it for me as an early Christmas present and I can't wait.
I can't make it to the Philly book tour stop for the Smitten Kitchen book, and I am SO SAD about it.
Also, what's not to like about that jacket? It's a jean jacket! Keep it for sure.

I used to have a jean jacket that I loved and wore all the time. Then I got married and my husband kindly told me it was time to retire it. After much resistance I finally agreed that my 10 year old jean jacket was probably past it's prime 🙂 Until now! Now I'm seeing them everywhere! I almost held out long enough for it to come back, so close….

I can't find season 4 anywhere either! I just finished season 3 a few nights ago.. So bummed. Hopefully it comes to Netflix soon!
