Book Deals for a Father’s Day Weekend

You probably know the internet is about to explode with deals for Prime Day next week and book deals are no exception!

Good news – some of them have come early! Here are my favorite book deals going on right now.

the blonde identity book

The Blonde Identity by Ally Carter – audiobook – $3.99
I loved this funny spy romantic comedy with a dose of action packed adventure. Zoe wakes up in Paris with zero memory, but when she is mistaken for her spy twin sister, there are a lot of people who want her dead. This one has dual narrators (there are two narrators on the audiobook, which was extra fun) and I just loved every second of this book.

Summer Brain Quest books – physical book – $5.81+
Amazon Prime is having a huge sale (around 50% off) on these full-color workbooks right now, they have them from Kindergarten to 5th grade! They are my kid’s favorites (and they love to “play school” with them). They are perfect for keeping kids engaged over the summer.

Paint by Sticker books – physical book – under $5.00
Another really great Amazon Prime deal going on right now are these paint by sticker books! We have gone through dozens of these books over the years. My kids have done them without help since age 3. I love that they are completely self-contained (no markers or crayons or any other supplies needed) and that keeps them busy for hours. They currently have 4 versions under $5 right now! (Pets, Under the Sea, Zoo Animals, and Rainforest Animals)

4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss – ebook – $1.99
“Work smarter, not harder”, is pretty much the mantra of this book. It shares practical tips and a blueprint on how to turn your 40-hour work week into a 4-hour work week.

What Does It Feel Like? by Sophie Kinsella – ebook – $1.99
I read this one last fall and it was a quick and heartbreaking read. It follows a novelist as she receives some devastating news. It is also one of Kinsella’s most autobiographical pieces of writing as it touches on her own recent personal experiences.

Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown – ebook – $2.99
This is one of those books that people talk about like it is scripture. If you feel pulled in a million directions and buried under expectations and responsibilities, this book is for you.

What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty – ebook – $1.99
This is one of my all-time favorite books – I love it so much! Alice comes to on the floor of the gym, with a bunch of worried friends around her. They aren’t the only ones that are worried – Alice is expecting her first baby and she’s concerned that the fall might have hurt the baby (she also can’t figure out why she’s at the gym; she hates the gym). The surprise of being at the gym, though, takes a quick backseat to the shock Alice receives when she realizes that it’s not 1998 like she thought, but instead it’s 2008. She’s not pregnant – she has three children. And the happy, new-ish marriage to Nick that she remembers is now on the verge of divorce. It’s a lot to take in. (Full review here)

Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No To Take Control of Your Life by Henry Cloud and John Townsend – ebook – $3.99
This has been on my to-read list for ages! It’s considered a classic when it comes to learning how to set healthy boundaries in relationships and everyday life. With super practical advice on saying no without guilt and taking responsibility for yourself (not everyone else), it’s all about creating limits that actually lead to more peace and better connections.

mac b kid spy

Mac Undercover: Mac B. Kid Spy: Book by Mac Barnett – audiobook – $0.99
You may know Mac Barnett as an author but before that? He was a spy for the Queen of England in this series that the publisher calls James Bond meets Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It’s filled with a nice dose of historical facts. Smart and funny, this is a winner series. And most of the series is on sale during Libro.FM’s children’s audiobook sale! (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter – audiobook – $4.99
This is one of THE best Christmas books I read (I also loved another of her books, The Blonde Identity). Maggie and Ethan are both mystery writers and happen to dislike each other deeply. They both get an invitation to spend Christmas with Eleanor Ashley, a massively popular mystery writer. She ends up going missing and the two of them are put to the task to figure out what happened. This one had such great banter!
