A GREAT Weekend of Book Deals for the End of June
This is a GREAT weekend for book deals!
Not only is there a new free 3 months of Audible deal, there is ALSO a free 4 months of Amazon Music Unlimited which includes one Audible audiobook each month (I have both and use and love them constantly!)
PLUS there is an Audible 2-for-1 sale this weekend so you can make your Audible credits go twice as far!
AND the children’s audiobook sale is still going on at LibroFM (which means you can make your own Yoto cards with them) – here are my favorite picks from the sale!
Here are some other book deals this weekend:

Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto
Vera owns a tea shop in San Francisco’s Chinatown. There is nothing she loves more than tea…but after she finds a dead body in her tea shop and steals a piece of evidence, she thinks she can use her detective skills to solve the murder. After buttering up suspects with tea and home-cooked meals, will Vera find out what secrets they are hiding and pin the murderer once and for all?

Summer Romance by Annabel Monaghan
What’s summer reading without a little romance? I loved her book Nora Goes Off Script, and I LOVED this one equally as much! I blew through it in 24 hours and it was so delightful. It follows Ali who is a professional organizer and a personal mess as she becomes a new single mom. Will a summer romance make her life more or less messy?

The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See
This was one of our books for the 2024 Everyday Reading Book Club, and the FIRST book I’ve read by beloved author Lisa See. This book is about two young girls living on the Korean island of Jeju who are part of their village’s all-female diving collective and their experiences together and separately over many decades.

Plotting Summer by Jess Heileman
I love a good summer beach read, and this one fits the bill (plus, it has TONS of 5-star reviews!). When Capri returns to Sunset Harbor, she must hide her identity as a secret romance author writing under her lifelong crush Tristan’s name. But with Tristan around, will she be able to keep her happily-ever-after from going up in flames?

Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl
I think Roald Dahl’s books are just MADE for kids who love anything wacky and zany! (Star has listened to Fantastic Mr. Fox at least a dozen times in one year.) In this one, Danny and his father try to outsmart one of the biggest villains!

Scarcity Brain: Fix Your Craving Mindset and Rewire Your Habits to Thrive with Enough by Michael Easter
His book the The Comfort Crisis really made me think. And, I’ve really been thinking about this topic of scarcity A LOT, whether it be time scarcity, or money scarcity. In this nonfiction book, Easter talks all about why we are always striving for more, despite living in a world of abundance.

The Match by Sarah Adams
I have read 4 of Sarah Adams’ books and just love how delightfully fun and fluffy they are (The Rule Book is my favorite of hers so far). This one is all about finding love where you least expect it…and for Evie Jones it’s while helping a 10-year-old girl with epilepsy find the perfect service dog. Evie thinks she has already found the love of her life in her own service dog, but when sparks begin to fly between Evie and Jacob – the father of the young girl – she might find healing and love when she needs it most.

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
After the new year rolls around, I am always thinking of fun goals and challenges. For anyone that is creatively-minded, this book is chalked full of useful exercises, and a 13 week guide to connect you with your inner artist.

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate
I listened to the first half of this on audio and then it was due back at the library, and with the price this low – it makes me excited to pick it back up again.

Misfits (Royal Academy Rebels #1) by Jen Calonita
Ella never met a fractured fairy tale she didn’t like, so I knew immediately that this series about the Royal Academy, where fairy tale characters are trained to be the royal leaders they’re destined to be, would be a hit. And indeed it was. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

Lying Game by Ruth Ware
I had been meaning to read a Ruth Ware book for literally YEARS and finally picked up her 2023 release in the fall and then went on to read most of her books in quick succession. This one, about the dangerous game four girls played in their teen years, has come back with sinister consequences.

The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger
I read this when it first came out and I was working as an elementary school librarian. I knew immediately it would be a hit with my students and I’m pretty sure it never touched the shelf again for the rest of the year! The series starts out with Dwight, a sixth-grade oddball who loves origami. And when he makes an Origami Yoda finger puppet, it suddenly starts to seem that this little paper Yoda can predict the future and give great advice. How could this be!? (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)
