Splurge, Save + Stocking Stuffer Gift Ideas

This post is sponsored by Walmart

I am more on the ball this year than I think I’ve ever been, as far as the holidays go.

Our Christmas cards are in the mail, 90% of the gifts that have come are already wrapped and ready for Christmas morning, and I have most of our Christmas decorations up (aside from our tree, which won’t be here for a few more days).

I have just a few last gifts to order today and then it’s on to the fun of celebrating together!

There are some amazing deals going on today for Cyber Monday and Walmart is a fantastic one-stop shop for everyone on your list!

(Plus, if you have a Walmart+ membership, you get free shipping and 2 day shipping on just about everything!).

Whether you’re looking to snag one of the season’s hottest splurge items, find a great gift that doesn’t break the bank, or prep for stocking stuffers, I’ve picked out some of my favorite things in each of those three categories.

And Walmart also has a really cool Gift Finder tool that lets you put in the person you’re shopping for, their age and the kind of gift you’re looking for (stocking stuffers or teacher gifts or white elephant gifts or co-worker gifts, etc) and it’ll give you some excellent suggestions!

Splurge Gifts

These are the big gifts, the ones that end Christmas morning with a big thrill, that get loved and used long after the Christmas decorations are put away!

splurge-worthy gifts

STAINLESS STEEL WOOD FIRE PIT
This is such a fun gift for the whole family – there’s nothing better than sitting around a fire together or roasting marshmallows. You’ll love this all winter long and into the summer too – it’s truly a year-round gift.

ROOMBA i7
Nothing says “I’m a mom in my 30s” like the fact that this is top of my splurge wishlist. (If this one is TOO splurgy, check out this cheaper version here too).

ORCA COOLER
For the family that loves getting out for adventures, this cooler is basically the Rolls Royce of coolers!

OCULUS QUEST 2 VR HEADSET
My parents gave this to my younger brother for Christmas last year and it was SO FUN. He brought it over pretty much every Sunday night and we all loved playing it, from our 4 year old to the adults.

NINTENDO SWITCH
How many years has this been the most requested kid gift? It’s just such a winner.

CRICUT CUTTING BUNDLE
I got a Cricut machine this year and I LOVE it so much. From labeling everything to making bats for our fireplace for Halloween, I can’t get enough of it.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET
We have several different tablets and this is hands-down my favorite. It’s just terrific, easy to use, and way more affordable than an iPad.

SAVE GIFTS (Under $50)

These are perfect gifts for everyone on your list that won’t break the bank!

inexpensive gifts

RAGLAN NOVELTY STITCH SWEATER
I bought this sweater for myself last month and I’ve worn it non-stop. It seriously looks like it costs 4x what I paid for it and it fits perfectly and goes with everything.

ONE STEP HAIR DRYER
My sister Merrick gave this to me for my birthday a few years ago and I just love it. It’s so much faster than using a traditional blow dyer and leaves my hair shiny and smooth!

RETRO MINI FRIDGE
The girls got me this for my birthday to put in my office and I love it! It’s so cute (it comes in four different colors!) and it’s so nice to be able to grab a cold drink whenever I want.

AIRTAG
We gave a set of these to my mom last year – they’re perfect for keeping track of your phone or purse or keys or other items that love to walk off.

GOOGLE CHROMECAST
We gave this to my sister Landen and her family last year – we have about four of them and they’re so great for making any TV easy to connect to your phone. We even take them on vacation!

COTTON CANDY MAKER
Would my girls lose their mind over this? Why yes, yes they would.

MEN’S QUILTED JACKET
This is almost identical to the coat I bought Bart a few years ago for Christmas and he wears it all winter long!

BLACK AND WHITE DOT STONEWARE DISHES
I just told my mother-in-law last week that one of the things I could buy endless numbers of is dishes. They’re just so pretty and get used all the time! This polka dot set is so cute and looks like it came from Anthropologie at a fraction of the price.

STOCKING STUFFERS (Under $10)

Stocking Stuffers are probably my favorite part of Christmas – it’s just so fun to pick out fun, special and inexpensive things that will get used, loved and eaten! Plus, they’re so low stress.

LINED BEANIE
I LOVE this hat – I bought it this fall and took it to London along with another similar hat and this one was 10x better because it’s lined and so cozy. It fits me well, but my 4 year old can also wear (and did, most of our London trip!).  It comes in a whole bunch of colors!

SMART PLUG
This is the perfect stocking stuffer for someone who loves a smart home! Basically, I think you can’t have enough smart plugs!

12 COCOAS OF WINTER
This is super fun, with all sorts of flavors, and you can break open the package and divide them between multiple stockings!

PEPPERMINT BARK
This is what Ella asks for EVERY YEAR in her stocking – it’s her very favorite thing!

9 PIECE BATH BOMB SET
If you have a bath lover on your list, this is a perfect gift. Or, in my case, I’ll break it up into 4 sets of 2 and give each of my girls two in their stockings and save the last one!

CHAPSTICK HOLIDAY COLLECTION
To me, it’s not a stocking without some chapstick in it, and these holiday flavors are extra fun!

INKJOY GEL PENS (SET OF 12)
Oh, my girls would LOVE these so much! As you know, the packaging is not the boss of me, so I’d divide these into bundles of 3 for each of my girls’ stockings.

BATH DROPZ
I got these for Tally for Christmas a couple of years ago and now I get her a new bottle every year – they’re so magical and cost less than $4 for a big tub of them!
