Some processed food I’ve grown out of and now when I eat it, I think, “How did I ever like that before?”
Some other ones, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of. PopTarts, I’m looking at you. Also Ramen.
Add Nutter Butter cookies to the list too.
I remember having those for the first time when I was babysitting as a teenager and then wondering how many it would be acceptable to eat before the parents came home.
When I made these little reindeer cookies, though, I discovered that Bart doesn’t actually like them. Which means I had to finish the container all by myself.
My thirteen year-old self would be so jealous.
Peanut Butter Sandwich Reindeer Cookies
Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies (like Nutter Butter® cookies)
Brown and Red Candies (I used Peanut Butter M&Ms)
Mini pretzel twists
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1-3 Tablespoons milk
In a stand mixer or with hand beaters beat together the powdered sugar and the peanut butter. Add the milk one tablespoon at a time until the frosting is thick but squeezable (you may not need all the milk).
Use the peanut butter frosting to attach the pretzels to the top of the cookies as antlers, the brown candies as eyes, and the red candies as a nose.
Let sit for 15 minutes or so to set.
