4 Favorite Things for March

Happy March!

Although winter isn’t over, once you hit March, it feels like the worst is behind you and that warm weather is somewhat in reach.

And I can’t remember a year where I’ve been more excited about spring and summer – I can’t wait for warmer weather, longer days, and more relaxed schedules!

Here are some of my favorite things recently while I wait for spring to really arrive.

4 Favorite Things for March

glass spice jarsGLASS SPICE JARS
These glass spice jars were a Christmas gift from my parents and I LOVED organizing my spice cupboard after Christmas – they look so nice, hold a ton of spices, and are easy to find with big labels on the sides and/or tops. I have a little step shelf so I can see each row of them better and that makes it all even better!

half zip jacketSPYDER SKI QUARTER ZIP JACKET
My parents gave me this for my birthday last fall and I’ve been wearing it non-stop both for skiing and when I run in the cold mornings and on chilly hikes (it’s the one I’m wearing in the photo above!) It’s super slim so it doesn’t feel bulky and slides right under a coat with no problem, but it’s really warm and super flattering. I LOVE it!

I bought this sweatpants for Bart for Christmas and every time he wears them (which is several times a week), I think, “THOSE are great pants!” The name on the website says fleece, but they’re a smoother nicer fabric than that and they are so good looking. They’re perfect for working out or lounging and they come in a bunch of colors – I bought Bart black ones for Christmas, but I’m tempted to get him the navy or red ones too. The 6000+ reviews do not lie.

I did a campaign with Subtl Beauty last fall and have been using their You’re A Peach blush every day since then – it’s such a fresh, natural color and a little goes a LONG way. Even with four months of daily use, you can barely tell I’ve used ANY! Plus it’s so easy to take when I travel.

And a few favorites from the Everyday Reading team!

I don’t know about you, but my kids are bringing home SO many germs and someone in our house has had a runny nose for the past three weeks! I’ve been the only one able to avoid it this entire time and I swear by these Wellness Vitamins. Whenever I feel my throat starting to get a bit sore or I notice I’m sneezing a bunch, I’ll take these for a couple of days. I feel like they are magic! (They aren’t 100% foolproof, but even if I do get sick and have taken them, I am sick for a significantly shorter time) Side note: they taste like goat’s fur so definitely gear up for that and take them with food!

I bought one of these ski boot backpacks for everyone in my family for Christmas- my husband, my two kids and myself. Each backpack has convenient compartments for ski boots, helmet, goggles and a little extra room for gloves and snacks. Each person has all their ski gear ready to go and it has made getting ready to go skiing each weekend so much easier! I love that it is as simple as grabbing everyone’s bag and putting it in the truck. My husband has commented multiple times how much easier it is to get ready to go! Taking little kids skiing isn’t the easiest thing, so I love anything that makes it a little simpler to get there.

KELSEY

yogurt starterYogurt Starter
My husband has really gotten into sourdough bread making and most recently yogurt making. Mainly because our little boys single-handedly eat an entire quart of yogurt a week. I like this one because it is a reusable starter. You buy the starter once and can use it forever by just using a few tablespoons of the previous batch. We keep it simple by making our yogurt in the Instant Pot with these little jars and lids and it always turns out perfectly!
