How to Give a Kindle Gift Card
If you have a Kindle lover in your life, you know that a Kindle gift card is a GREAT gift so they can add whatever books they want to their Kindle and get to reading immediately!

How to purchase a Kindle gift card
One of the most frequently asked questions is “Can a Kindle gift card be used on Amazon?” The great answer is yes!
Because Kindle specific gift cards do not exist, you are essentially purchasing an Amazon gift card that can be used for anything on Amazon, not just ebooks.
That said, you CAN purchase an Amazon gift card with the Kindle logo on it, which I would suggest doing. It shows your book lover you had their love of books in mind when purchasing it.
Here’s how to purchase a physical Kindle gift card:
Click this link to go right to the Amazon gift card with the Kindle logo. If you want one that’s more festive, but doesn’t have the Kindle logo on it, go here.
Select the amount you want to purchase (they start at $10 and go up to $300 – the Kindle design one starts at $50) and add to cart.
Click “proceed to checkout” and continue to fill out the shipping address and payment information and place your order!
And you are done!
Keep in mind that Amazon has a lot of delivery options for their Kindle gift cards. You can do an animated e-gift card that can be sent via email or text, a print at home gift card, a personalized coloring page or the old school option of going to a store and buying an Amazon gift card directly. This gives you lots of wiggle room with time and these Kindle gift cards make great last minute gifts!

How to redeem a Kindle gift card
No matter what kind of gift card you choose to gift, all Amazon gift cards work the same. You have to redeem them (upload them into your Amazon account), before you can use them. Luckily, redeeming them is quite simple!
Go to your Amazon redemption page – click here if you are logged in to you Amazon account and it should direct you right to it. It should look like this.
Enter the claim code and click “apply to your balance” and voila, you should now have a gift card balance to use!
How can you buy Kindle books with an Amazon gift card
If you are a receiver of a Kindle gift card, here is how you can buy Kindle books with said Amazon gift card.
Once you have redeemed your Amazon gift card, the funds will automatically load into your Amazon account.
Find the book you are wanting to purchase for your Kindle on Amazon. Make sure you have the Kindle version selected.
Find the button on the right-hand side that says “buy now with one click”. It should automatically take the money from your previously redeemed Kindle gift card. That’s it!
