A Year of Whirlwind Weekends
Since January, I’ve been featuring Whirlwind Weekend posts nearly every Saturday. I’ve loved all the recommendations for places across the world – I need a bigger travel budget (especially since our current travel budget is about two nickels a year).
With 2013 drawing to a close, I’m finishing up this series (and planning for a new one in 2014), but I wanted to gather up all the posts in one place to make them easy to find from here on out.

Sadly, no one ever volunteered to do my home town, Las Vegas (and since I haven’t lived there in a decade, I’m not exactly qualified to do it myself).
This infographic from Marriott about Vegas, though, made me laugh – my dad has several patients who work at some of the most expensive restaurants in Las Vegas, and my dad loves to ask them when they come in about the most outrageous bills they’ve seen.
Although Bart and I love burgers and trying out new burger places wherever we live, I’m pretty sure we will NOT be trying the $5000 one mentioned in this:
I was selected for this opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, however all content and opinions expressed here are my own.
Let me know if ever you want a post on London, though I know you could probably do a marvelous one yourself! I really love this series, it gives me ambitious ideas.
As I read your post, I was like "Someone should have done Las Vegas" and then further down I saw you put the same thing lol.
I would have volunteered to do Las Vegas, but we've only been here four months and our usual hangouts are the many parks of Henderson and the pull-out near the airport runway. Not exactly a thrilling weekend that most would expect from this city : )
