9 Great Book Deals for the Middle of April
Last weekend, we returned our ski rentals and yesterday I started back up my spring pickleball playing. I’m over the moon that winter is (mostly) behind us and spring is here!
We even did our first outdoor movie night last night with our girls and a bunch of their friends (this is the set up we have!)
AND I’m reading like a maniac for the last few titles on the Summer Reading Guide – it’s going to be GOOOOOD this year!
Here are some book deals I’m loving this weekend:
Kiki’s Delivery Service by Eiko Kadono – ebook – $2.99
Kiki is a half-witch and when she turns thirteen, she can’t wait to fulfill her witch destiny by choosing a new town to live in for a year. She can’t wait to use her powers to bring delight to the people of her new home but it turns out that it’s trickier than she expected to get a new place to accept a witch among them.
Be Ready When the Luck Happens by Ina Garten – ebook – $2.99
I love a memoir read by the author and Ina Garten is just such a delight to listen to and a wonderful storyteller. I blew through this on a plane flight and it made the hours fly by. (30 second book review here)
Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything by BJ Fogg, PhD – ebook – $1.99
After this post about books to read if you loved Atomic Habits, I got a slew of messages from readers asking how I could have left Tiny Habits off the list. I left it off because I hadn’t read it, but I immediately picked it up from the library and really enjoyed it!
The Chronicles of Narnia Complete Audio Collection by C. S. Lewis – audiobook – $4.99
During World War II, four siblings are sent to the countryside of London where they are to be kept safe from the war. One of the children finds a wardrobe that has the ability to transport them to a completely different world called Narnia. This series is full of excitement and adventure and has been beloved for generations. This collection is well worth it with more than 33 hours of run time! (Plus, it’s a Libro.fm book, so you can make your own Yoto card with it!)
A Tale of Magic…by Chris Colfer – audiobook – $3.99
is a HUGE fan of his Land of Stories series, so you can imagine how fast she snatched this one up too. (Plus, it’s a Libro.fm book, so you can make your own Yoto card with it!)
Alone by Megan E. Freeman – audiobook – $3.11
This middle grade survival novel written in verse sounds riveting! Twelve-year-old Maddie wakes up to a nightmare: her town has been mysteriously evacuated, leaving her completely alone. With no power, internet, or help, Maddie must rely on her ingenuity, a loyal Rottweiler named George, and her love of books to survive. Facing natural disasters, looters, and crushing loneliness, Maddie’s determination is tested as she fights to endure the most challenging experience of her life. (Plus, it’s a Libro.fm book, so you can make your own Yoto card with it!)
Meet Me in the Margins by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook – FREE
This is such a cute fun romance AND you cannot beat a free audiobook! An editor at Savannah’s dream publishing company is asking for the manuscript of a romance novel she has been secretly writing behind the scenes, while working at a different publishing company. She hides her manuscript in a hidden room, but later discovers someone has found it and started jotting very critical edits in the margins. This mystery editor is not only helping make her manuscript better, but could she be falling for him too?
We Should All Be Millionaires: A Woman’s Guide to Earning More, Building Wealth, and Gaining Economic Power by Rachel Rodgers – audiobook – $4.99
You know I can’t resist a money book and this one was so good and quite different than a lot of the money books I’ve read in the past. It got me so fired up! It’s ultra-readable and really inspired me as a business owner. It’s also full of practical tips, not just high level information and I kind of thing every woman should read it.
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld – audiobook – $3.11
Bart and I both loved this YA series that is about two decades old, (in fact, Tally’s blog name is because of this book – Bart was gunning to name her that for real, but I had to draw the line somewhere).
