Stripes and Leopard

Next week, Bart and I are going to a speaker and dinner event at Duke. (This reminds me that I need to find a babysitter. . . ).

You know you are true nerds when this is really your idea of a great night out. We have to take advantage of all the awesome things about living around the corner from a world-class university while we can.

It’s probably not a very dressy affair, since it’s open to the whole campus, so I’m imagining a lot of jeans and sweatshirts. I may be wearing jeans and a sweatshirt too but that’s not going to stop me from wearing some heels when I have a chance (and a baby because I’m not ready to leave her alone for hours and hours).

I am pretty sure I’m not going to get mistaken for an undergrad, sadly. I think the baby might be a giveaway.

Please let the dinner be good.
