Here’s what our homeschool schedule looks like this year

I can’t believe we’re on our second year of homeschooling – on our first day, I said to the girls, “Does it kind of feel like we never stopped?”

Summer went by in a flash and now it’s back to a more normal routine.

There are a lot of moving parts with my two big girls going to public school part-time (and made extra complex by the fact that our middle and high schools do A/B schedules so every other day is a different schedule). We also have a fair amount of scheduled things like Savvy classes, piano and violin and sewing lessons, running club, art classes, and a couple of online classes for Ani.

I add pretty much every scheduled item – Mandarin tutoring, piano lessons, sewing lessons, etc – to the calendar so that it shows up on my phone, Bart’s phone and our Skylight calendar so that I don’t have to spend any brain power remembering when piano lessons are.

I also have alarms set for lots of those things on our Echo devices so they remind us a few minutes beforehand. Life saver.

Here’s what our general homeschooling schedule looks like this year (if you missed the post about what curriculum we’re using, you can see that post here!).
