12 Delightful Halloween Puzzles
About six or seven years ago, I started getting more into seasonal reading, both for my read alouds with my kids and in my personal reading.
And it’s been SO FUN.
Naturally, the next step was seasonal puzzles and for the past few years, I loved doing some holiday puzzles during December (and even better to pull them out each year and do them again!).
This year, I decided a Halloween puzzle or two would be a fun addition to my September and October – there’s nothing better than listening to a spooky audiobook while doing Halloween puzzles!

Galison Halloween Parade Fall Panoramic Puzzle

I am fully hooked on Galison puzzles and I love how fun this colorful Halloween parade panoramic puzzle is. Make sure you have enough space on your work surface, because this one measures between 3-4 feet long! I bought this one for my personal collection and I love it – the pieces are so thick and fun to work with.
Mudpuppy Spooky House

I was so excited to find this puzzle, because it reminds me a lot of the 2023 Halloween Reading Chart – a haunted house filled with sweet spooky things! It’s the perfect Halloween puzzle for kids full of fun bright colors, and not in the least bit scary.

This puzzle is just so charming it could get anyone in the Halloween spirit. A little gaggle of ghosts displaying their jack o’ lanterns…it doesn’t get cuter than that!

The 300 pieces of this one makes it great for older kids or even adults who want to finish a puzzle in a day. I love how spooky this one feels, but it isn’t over the top. (Ravensburger makes EXCEPTIONAL puzzles and we own quite a few of them.)

Just looking at this one makes me want to throw on a cozy sweater and my favorite boots, and go for a walk among the fall trees. I love that you can do this one all season, not just for Halloween. I just gave the Agatha Christie puzzle to my father-in-law for his birthday. As you build the puzzle you will begin to notice clues and characters from the book – talk about a puzzle and book-lovers dream! And how fun would it be to work on one of these puzzles while listening to the book on audio. I just ordered mudpuppy magic of stories. It’s a bookstore where each room is filled with characters from stories- dragons, ghosts, pirates, etc. It feels Halloween and so fun that it’s bookish too! I like spooky house, but magic of stories is 500 pieces which is more our speed since all of us pitch in!
