Book Deals to Start Off December

So many fun book deals this weekend and I can almost TASTE Christmas break where I’ll actually have a chance to do some more dedicated reading (this time of year is wild for work – I feel like I’m glued to my computer and phone right now!).

Here are some of my favorites on sale right now:

Book Deals to Start Off December

Book cover for Last Christmas in Paris by Heather Webb & Hazel Gaynor with featured deal bannerLast Christmas in Paris by Hazel Gaynor & Heather Webb – audiobook
I will never get enough of this historical fiction Christmas book that is set in WWI and is written entirely in letters (a format I don’t normally go for). Evie’s brother and his best friend are headed off to the front, but like most people, they assume the war will be over by Christmas and they have grand plans to spend it together in Paris. Of course, it doesn’t go that way. (Full review here)

Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella – ebook
Sophie Kinsella always comes up with the most ridiculous scenarios and then makes them so funny. I can’t help but to laugh my face off when I read her books. This is one of my favorite books of hers. Emma spills all of her secrets to a stranger she meets on a plane. But when that stranger becomes her new CEO at work, she realizes that he knows every embarrassing thing about her. How much worse could things get?

The Maid by Nita Prose – ebook
Molly Gray is a maid in a very upscale hotel – a job she loves because it’s orderly and predictable and she doesn’t have to interact too much with other people, which is a struggle for her. But things start getting chaotic when she goes to clean the room of a wealthy and well-known guest and finds him dead in his bed. And . . . she’s the primary suspect! Molly is going to have to find the real killer if she is to clear her name and she’ll need help to do it, if she can figure out how to ask for it.

Meet Me in the Margins by Melissa FergusonMeet Me in the Margins by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook
An editor at Savannah’s dream publishing company is asking for the manuscript of a romance novel she has been secretly writing behind the scenes, while working at a different publishing company. She hides her manuscript in a hidden room, but later discovers someone has found it and started jotting very critical edits in the margins. This mystery editor is not only helping make her manuscript better, but could she be falling for him too?

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara RobinsonThe Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson – audiobook
I mean, can’t do a Christmas read aloud without this book? I know my girls will get a huge kick out of the Herdman siblings, dubbed “the worst kids in the history of the world” who show up at church because of the free snacks and somehow take over the whole Christmas pageant. This one is a nice short read, so if you’re looking for something that you can get through in a couple of days or a week, this is a good pick.

A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate AlbusA Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus – audiobook
It’s 1940 in London, right in the middle of World War II when three children become orphaned. Unsure what to do, they leave their home and head for the countryside in hopes of finding a good temporary or even permanent home. This one is PHENOMENAL – one of my favorite books I’ve read with my children.
