All about Amazon No Rush Credits

I’ve mentioned before that one of my favorite Kindle hacks is choosing the No-Rush Shipping option when I make an order on Amazon and racking up some promotional credits.

(Note that promotional credits for No-Rush shipping are only available for Prime members).

You’ll see the option at check-out that looks like this. Obviously, sometimes you want your order ASAP, but if you’re not in a rush, this is a great perk to be able get free content from Amazon.

You can use these promotional credits to buy or rent movies, purchase music (lots of families use these to make their own Yoto music cards!), but my personal favorite is using them to buy Kindle ebooks!

Any time I mention this, the #1 question is “How do I check how many Amazon No Rush credits I have?”

The good news is that you can check your Amazon No Rush credit balance at any time right here! It’ll also tell you when those no rush credits will expire so you don’t let them go to waste!

The other easy way is that when you look at a Kindle book or a movie on Amazon, it’ll show you how much your price will be after the no rush credits are applied.

If you’re looking at a Kindle book, it’ll look like this (note that, as always, you can’t purchase a Kindle book in the Amazon app. You’ll need to visit Amazon on a browser, whether that’s on your phone or computer).

So it’ll show you the cost you’ll pay for that Kindle book, plus how much it would be without your credits.

Notice that down at the bottom, it’ll show you how many no rush credits you have and you can click “details” next to it and it’ll show you your no rush credits balance, how you earned them and when they expire!

If you’re looking to rent or buy a movie, it’ll look like this!

Whether you choose to rent or buy the movie, it’ll show you the cost after your credits (although unlike when you buy a Kindle book, it won’t tell you how many credits you have).

Also note that you can click the “more purchase options” and see if the SD versions (rather than the HD versions Amazon video defaults to) are less expensive, which is sometimes the case.

If you’re a Prime member, don’t miss out on these Amazon no rush credits and definitely make sure you spend your no rush credits before they expire!

Any other questions about earning, spending or checking your balance for Amazon no rush credits? I’m happy to help!
