A Versatile Blouse (and a White Plum Giveaway!)

When I did the great purge of my closet, it was immediately apparent to me that tops were the mega weak spot in my closet.
For years, it was pants. I generally owned a single pair of jeans I liked. But right now, I have a decent collection of pants I like and that fit me well and I have to keep myself from buying more.
This blouse from White Plum is exactly what I was looking for. A nice mix of neutral and fun – I love the little studs on the hem, but I like that they are subtle too – and it’s easy to dress up or down. (If you use the code JANSSEN20, you’ll get 20% off your whole order until May 7th).
White Plum isn’t new to me (I wrote a post for them last year about my secrets for visiting a new city) and I love their wide variety of cute tops, dresses. And I really like that it’s a woman-owned business, started by a mom.
They’re giving away a $75 gift certificate to their shop (I have my eye on this top – I won’t even let myself look at non-shirt items right now), and you’ll definitely have no problem finding something you love.

  1. My summer staples are tank tops and cut off shorts (jorts?) and flip flops. And a good pair of aviator sunglasses! I am also in need of tops this year.

  2. I have been on the hunt for great tops too! I just discovered White Plum through Merrick's blog! I've pinned a lot of style inspiration but have yet to buy!

My staple this summer is a dark wash pair of capris from Loft. I love them because I can dress them up with a wedge and pretty blouse or go casual and wear them with a tee and flip-flops.

  3. You look so classy. I'm thinking a gray t-shirt from Everlane is going to be my summer staple. I'm wearing it a lot.

  4. My favorite summer staples are: decent length shorts, cute sandals (but not flip flops), and shirts that are thin, yet not see through. I lived in Texas, and as you know, you don't want to add extra layers when you don't have to!
