A Pampers Play Date
A few months ago, Pampers asked me if I wanted to host a little baby play date as part of the launch of the new Pampers Cruisers.
Obviously I said yes.
And then I said, “But, um, I might need a couple of months to make some friends or it’s going to be a very small group of me and . . . my baby.”
Happily they gave me a little time to force my friendship upon a few unsuspecting moms and this week, we had a little low-key party.
After two years on the Pampers Baby Board, I now know so much more about diapers than I ever did before. I didn’t really get the difference between the various Pampers lines, but now? I can tell you all about them (and I probably will because I am a mom and I have opinions about diapers).
Cruisers is one of their three diaper lines and it is geared towards active babies and toddlers, so it goes from sizes 3 to 6 (once your baby is starting to sit up, crawl, walk and run). It has Pampers best protection and fit and now they’ve added three channels to the diaper core (regular diapers just have a solid core) so you don’t get that sag. If you’ve ever had a baby in diapers, you know that sag I’m talking about. Not a great look or feel for any baby.
My feeling about most parties is that they should be super low-key with very little structure, since I think most of the time people just want to visit. We had seven moms and ten babies and toddlers, and since the children were mostly pretty little, we just ate a few little goodies and sat around and chatted and played.
Pampers had sent over a box of baby-friendly musical instruments, all of which were wildly popular, particularly the little drum. It was so fun, I’m kind of tempted to restart my baby music group.
And the disco ball that makes an appearance at the end of the video? Ella begged to have it in her room after the party was over and it’s basically the highlight of her month. Who knew it’d be so fun?
It was just such a nice morning and it made me want to host more play groups – I love having some adults to talk to and I love watching my little girls interact with other children their age.
And of course no one complained about getting to take a few samples of the new Cruisers diapers home for their babies.
I think a good test of whether or not you’re a mom is if you’re excited about getting a couple of free diapers. Everyone who came definitely passed that test.
This post was made possible by iConnect: Influencer Management and Pampers. They provided party supplies and diaper samples, but all opinions are 100% mine.
I'm reading and watching this as I'm conveying to my husband that the reason I didn't attempt to put out toddler back in her bed last night was because she managed to pee through a not full Pampers diaper and her bed was soaked and i had zero interest in changing her bed at 2 am, so i took the easy road and changed her instead. He walks away shaking his head. It was a freak experience and hasnt happened before as far as I can remember!
Such a fun little party! We're definitely going to have to get some cruisers for Kinsley once she gets mobile!
Oh fun!! And you make friends so fast…so it's no surprise that you were able to invite people over for your fun Pampers party. I've always bought Pampers and always will…my favorite!
