7 Book Deals for a Valentine’s Day Weekend
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope whether you’re celebrating or not, you have a great weekend ahead.
And what better way to have a great weekend than by spending some time reading?
Here are some of my favorite book deals this weekend:

Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America by Firoozeh Dumas
I had a friend ask me for a funny unique book to bring with her on an upcoming cruise – and this is the one I instantly thought of! And for under $2, you can’t beat it! I read the whole thing in two days, laughing my face off all the way. Her experiences and stories are the perfect mix of the universal experiences of childhood and growing up and those that are more specific to an immigrant family. I feel like there’s no way to do this book justice except to say, “go read it and love every page.” And then read the sequel immediately afterward. (Full review here)

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
I’ve read pretty much every one of Emily Giffin’s books, but I still think her first one, Something Borrowed, is her best, about Rachel who has always played second string to her very vivacious and gorgeous best friend, Darcy. Until on her thirtieth birthday, Rachel confesses to Darcy’s fiance that she’s always had feelings for him and it turns out it’s not one-sided. With the wedding day getting closer, Rachel has to decide whether she’s going to let the wedding go through or take a stand for what she wants for the first time in her life.

The Shore Road Mystery: The Hardy Boys by Franklin W. Dixon
The only thing I love more than an audiobook is a free audiobook! This Hardy Boys book is $0.00 (no membership or subscription required) and you can listen in the free app or make it into a Yoto card! If your child is a mystery lover, the Hardy Boys are a classic.

Taste by Stanley Tucci
I really enjoyed this memoir about Stanley Tucci. This is not at all about his acting career, but about how food has impacted his life. It is laugh-out-loud funny, but also sweet and tender.

Kid Scientists by David Stabler
Ella picked up a copy of Kid Presidents awhile back and really enjoyed it. I was delighted to see the audiobook version of Kid Scientists is available for under $2! (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Mystery of the Mosaic (Greetings from Somewhere: Book #2) by Harper Paris
With their mother as a travel writer for a newspaper, twins Ethan and Ella find themselves in a new location in every book. And naturally, each new location has a mystery for them to solve. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery
If you love Anne of Green Gables, this one is often people’s favorites of all L.M. Montgomery’s books! If you want something delightfully old-fashioned, and just so sweet, this is the one!
