4 Favorite Things for January (+ my team’s picks!)

And just like that January is almost over!

It’s been so nice to have a month at home after such a busy fall (and before a couple of spring trips coming up).

We’ve spent lots of time playing games, puzzling, skiing, and going to bed on time!

Here are some of my favorite products this month (and don’t miss my team’s picks at the bottom of this post!).

4 Favorite Things for January

Amazon Pants
One of my favorite fashion bloggers recommended these pants and since I’ve been working to expand my pants choices past just jeans over the last couple of years, I ordered a pair. Oh. My. Word. I am absolutely hooked. The fabric is so soft and cozy, they fit like a dream, and they look more polished than sweatpants or joggers. I generally avoid getting multiple pairs of the same item but I’m HIGHLY tempted to grab them in another color. My pair is the color Nutria and I got a 29 inch inseam (I’m just shy of 5’4″).

Propagation stand

Propagation Stand
This was a Christmas gift Bart surprised me with (extra surprising because while I love houseplants, he’s much less into them). My plants are constantly in need of a trim and a place to propagate and this is WAY nicer than the random jars on our window sill. It sits on my desk and makes me happy every single day!

Cup stand
We’ve spent months with random water bottles and cups littering the countertop and over Christmas break, Bart ordered this cup stand (it’s designed to fit Stanleys, although we use these cups instead. It’s made such a difference to corral them all neatly on the counter and everyone knows where they go. Bliss!

Rattan book ends

Rattan Book Ends
I’m always on the lookout for a good bookend and when my daughter needed some for her bookshelf after we repainted her room over Christmas break, I snagged a few sets of these. They’re under $13 for a set, are gorgeous and come in both black and gold options (we used the gold option for her room). I LOVE them!

And here is what my team is loving!

ANALESE

phone case

Phone Case and Strap
I’ve had the same phone for the last three years AND the same Walli phone case, which I have loved. However, the card holder had gotten so stretched out, my credit card was falling out regularly. I decided to go with this case instead that has a little back door (no more stretching) and this strap since I used my Walli strap all of the time. I have loved them both! This strap even more than the Walli.

KELSEY

Carpet/Upholstery Spot Cleaner
I feel like I might be late to the game on this one, but this little green machine has worked wonders on all of our rugs and upholstery. I have been going to town on EVERYTHING (nothing is safe from me) and I love that everything looks brand new again! I recently cleaned the upholstery in my car, and it feels like I just got it detailed. I got mine during Black Friday, so they definitely run sales on them.

JENNIFER

Vuori Running Jacket
I am running a half marathon in a couple of months and so I’ve been doing a lot of running outside lately. One key to running in the cold (and enjoying it) is having the right gear! This jacket was my Christmas gift this year and I absolutely love it. It is so cozy and has the perfect amount of insulation for running while still being breathable and easy to move in. I snagged it in a chalk blue color which is sadly discontinued, but it is still available in a few other colors.

KRISTIN

Wooden Cookbook Stand
This year, one of my goals is to get more comfortable cooking. My entire adult life has been spent avoiding cooking as much as possible and resisting and disliking it when I did have to actually feed myself and my family. One way I’m working on this goal is by using printed recipes and cookbooks rather than trying to follow a recipe off a website on my tiny phone. I’m pulling together a binder of my most-used recipes and so far, it has made a big difference to cook from something besides a screen! This pretty cookbook stand folds up so it doesn’t take up counter space all day and it’s sturdy enough for both my binder and my thickest cookbooks.
