Last year, I shared a first time post of Bart’s favorite products for the year.
Unsurprisingly, it was so popular that I’m bringing it back for a second year!

These made the list last year (it’s the only duplicate on this list), but Bart said he loves them so much that he had to give them a spot again this year.
Bart says: I tried other socks, returned them all, and bought more Puma socks so I could have more. I wear them for working out AND during the day.
BROOKS ADRENALINE GTS SHOES
This summer, Bart bought himself a pair of Brooks shoes for the first time and has loved them so much that he now owns three pairs and wears them virtually every single day.
Bart says: These are the most comfortable shoes in the world and I think they look good. So crisp!
EXTRA THICK YOGA MAT
Bart bought this yoga mat probably four or five years ago and it’s by the best yoga mat either of us have ever used. He uses it for stretching in the mornings and I use it whenever I do a workout video in our home gym. The reviews on this thing agree with us!
Bart says: Tons of yoga mats barely make a difference. This one is thick enough and comfortable enough that I like using it.
KEY RING ORGANIZER
I truly thought this was a foot shaped key ring until I did this post. Either way, it really makes it easier to keep track of multiple keys instead of shuffling through the ring a million times to find the right one.
Bart says: I like a key ring that actually separates everything into its own little space.
PICKLEBALL PADDLE
Bart is VERY into pickleball and plays most days. We started with pretty average paddles but as he’s gotten more serious, so has his pickleball paddle. This is the one he uses now and love love loves.
Bart says: The only drawback is I can never blame the paddle for any mess ups.
AMAZON ESSENTIALS HOODIE
When winter rolls around, Bart’s #1 priority is having warm cozy clothes. He also works from home so he doesn’t need to dress up often – this hoodie has been a big win and at an excellent price.
Bart says: A nice inexpensive companion to my dressier, more expensive cashmere hoodie. I can get 4 of these for the price of the cashmere one. In the winter, I need tons of warm options and I like a little variety.
SOUND MACHINE
After more than a decade of our same sound machine, we upgraded to this one in 2023 and it’s been a NICE upgrade.
Bart says: It has more variety, it’s smaller and more compact, and it gives off less light in the night than our old one.
COOP PILLOWS
We upgraded our pillows in the last year because we are now old people who can’t sleep on whatever $2 Target pillow we bought. These are THE best – pricey but worth every penny. Plus you can adjust them to your perfect height.
Bart says: It’s always been too flat but nice and fluffy and comfortable or too fat and stiff. This is the perfect mix of support and super soft and comfortable.
TABOR ANVIL LOPER
Our backyard has some sections that like to go pretty wild and every fall Bart cleans it out and trims back all the trees. Yard work is NOT his favorite but when you have the right tools, its a bit more fun and he was VERY into this new loper.
Bart says: My old one wasn’t nearly as powerful as this. It can get through massive things because it is levered.
GARMIN INSTINCT WATCH
Bart has worn this watch for years and it is still going strong (and he’s convinced several friends to get it too!). For Bart the biggest deal breaker in a watch is one that he has to take on and off a lot – he wants something he can wear to workout, shower, swim, and sleep.
Bart says: For me, this does everything I need in a watch. I can wear it always – I never take it off except to charge it (and it only needs to be charged every 2 or 3 weeks), it has a ton of functionality including texts and notifications coming in and can track my sports activity.
LUDEN’S COUGH DROPS
This might feel like a funny thing to put on the list but Bart discovered these this year and probably bought them 5 or 6 times during the fall. They are also the only cough drops our girls will use.
Bart says: I had a cough for 2.5 months and these were a life-saver!
TIE BOSS TIE DOWN SYSTEM
This was a win of a purchase in 2023 – Bart has had a truck for a few years but no good tie down system. This was a perfect solution!
Bart says: Super useful everyday tie down system for my truck without ratcheting.
