Summer Book Deals for July

It’s been a busy week! My nephew is staying with us and we’ve been trying to do some fun things while he’s here (and still squeeze in some work and normal day-to-day living!).

I feel like I’ve hardly taken a full breath since the beginning of July.

I’m hoping for a bit more peace and calm and more time to read over the next few weeks!

Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger by Louis Sachar – ebook
I have to admit that I found these a little too wacky as a child (I was basically born 50 years old), but my sisters were obsessed with them, and my girls have loved them too, about a school where instead of being one story with 30 classrooms, it’s 30 stories high with one classroom on each level. Of course, on the 13th level, things are always pretty crazy!

Dinner in One: Exceptional & Easy One-Pan Meals by Melissa Clark – ebook
One of my favorite kinds of books are cookbooks and at $2.99, it’s a screaming deal! This one is full of 100 one pan meals. The perfect cookbook for busy lives, plus, who really wants to clean all the dishes?

That Fine Line by Cindy Steel – audiobook
I read her book Faking Christmas last Christmas and was delighted by how perfect of a fluffy romance it was. In this one, Kelsey is engaged to get married and her high school enemy, who is always playing practical jokes on her, is hired by her father to help on their farm. Will her wedding go on without a hitch, especially with a meddling prankster? This is a closed-door romance, so if you like something clean but full of witty banter, this will fit the bill.

Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan – audiobook
This book is especially fun because it’s all about the world of audiobook narrating. The main character, Sewanee, used to be an actress, but now she has moved into audiobook narrating. She got her start in romance novels which she’s decided to leave that behind her, but she gets roped into doing one last romance project. This final project ends up being with the most popular male audiobook narrator of the romance genre, Brock McKnight. Heads up for one brief open door scene.

The Measure by Nikki Erlick – audiobook
I listened to the audiobook of this super popular book where everyone wakes up to find a box on their doorstep with a string that equates to how long you have left to live. Naturally, the world goes nuts about it.
