What We Gave Ella for Her 16th Birthday
It is absolutely blowing my mind that Ella is 16.
She just got her license (on her birthday!) and is loving driving and preparing for her junior year in high school.
She is the best teenager – so fun to be with, witty and hard-working, and such a good sister to her three younger sisters.
Here’s what we gave her for her 16th birthday!

Gifts for 16 Year Old Girls

Loopy Phone Case
In our family, we’ve decided to give our kids access to an iPhone when they turn 16 (the phone still belongs to us, but assuming responsible behavior, they’re allowed to use it with strict controls set and no social media). We specifically chose to not make the phone a gift because a gift hands over ownership. We DID however, give her two Loopy cases (my all-time favorite phone cases). We gave her both this seashell striped one and this blue one. My Loopy code is everydayreading.

Pink Gingham Dress
Ella’s #1 request for her birthday was a dress and as soon as I saw this one, I knew it was the one! It’s a perfect fit (I got her an XS) and it has pockets. What more could you ask for?

Reflexology Appointment
Last year, for our end-of-summer earning goals celebration, we went to this reflexology place as a family and my girls all loved it. For Ella’s birthday, I took her back (bonus for me to get to go!) and we had the best time together and stopped for boba afterward.

Wet Brush and Continuous Spray Bottle
Ani knew that Ella really wanted a new hair brush and spray bottle and she made those wishes come true! Ella has used them daily since her birthday!

Pattern pens and scrapbook paper
Ella never met an art supply she didn’t like and Star got her these two fun new things. The pens, which have an end that rolls like a stamp, were an especially big hit!

Mini Squishmallow Set
All four of my girls are absolutely obsessed with squishmallows and Ella was delighted by this set of tiny ones that Tally gave her. I love that she’s 16 and still gets a kick out of these!

Book Nook Kit
Ella did one of these cute kits a year or so ago and she was delighted when my parents sent her a different one for her birthday this year. They’re darling and lots of fun (plus they look so cute displayed on a bookshelf!)

Golden Store
Bart’s parents always give the grandkids a book for their birthday and this was the one they picked this year (especially fun because they bought it in England in the Lake District where Wordsworth lived!). It really is a beautiful volume!

Those pens look like so much fun! Snagging some for gifts!
