A (Free!) Collection of Favorite Book Quotes

You know what is really thrilling?

When you’ve had an idea for a long time and finally are able to make it happen.

A couple of years ago, I put together a big list of some of my favorite quotes from classic children’s literature. Once I started looking for them, I couldn’t stop adding to my list – there were so many good ones!

I thought it’d be really fun to have them each beautifully hand-lettered and share them on Instagram or make them available to anyone who wanted them.

I wrote down this idea back when I went to The Hello Sessions in October of 2015, and it’s sat on a piece of paper in my office since then. I’m nothing if not slow.

Finally, in January, more than two years after I originally thought of this idea, I asked on Instagram if any designers would be willing to create these book quotes.

And, what do you know? SO many lovely and talented women agreed to do it.

I loved choosing quotes with them and even more, it’s been ridiculously fun to share them on Instagram each Friday (they’re all tagged #janssensbookquotes) and see so much excitement over each week’s new book and quote and design. You book lovers are my people.

What I love the most is that each of the designers agreed to offer them free of charge, so you can get free copies of whichever ones you like and hang them in a nursery, a playroom, a home library or classroom or use them as holiday decor (the Ella Enchanted one is particularly perfect for Valentine’s Day, I think!).

You can even print them off smaller and use them as greeting cards or gift tags.

Each week, a new one is added, but you can always grab any of the previous ones on the Book Quote Printables page (there’s also a button for it up on the top menu bar of my site).

As they’ve been coming in from the different designers, it’s been SO fun to see the variety and the insane talent of these women, and I’m so grateful to them for being helping bring my vision to life way more impressively than I could have ever managed on my own.

I can’t wait to keep sharing them this year – there are so many great quotes ahead!

And if you use them, I’d love it if you sent me an email or tagged me on Instagram so I can see how they’re being used!

These are so awesome – what a good idea! How can I get the ones that are on IG, but not on the Book Quote Printables page here? Thanks!

The ones on the Book Quote Printables page are the only ones I have available. The other ones on Instagram are all from Kern and Flourish (and available in her shop here: http://www.kernandflourish.com/shop/) and the Ferdinand one is from Melissa Esplin – it’s possible I’ll have that one available in the future but right now I don’t have a digital copy of it or permission to reproduce it.
