4 Favorite Things for May (+ my team’s picks!)

We’re back from a fun trip to Mount Rushmore to kick off the summer (we used to go to my parents’ house every Memorial Day weekend to swim and hang out with cousins but my parents moved last year!) and we’re in the full swing of summer now!

Here are some of my favorite things from May!

4 Favorite Things for May (+ my team’s picks!)

Summer Lounge Set
I ordered this set (it’s under $40!) after seeing them online and I love them. They’re a thicker fabric without being hot and they come in so many cute colors. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly (there are multiple pant lengths – I got the 29 inch and I’m 5’4″).

Lightweight Statement Earrings
These were my Mother’s Day gift and I LOVE them. I’ve been looking for a pair of statement earrings that aren’t heavy and these have been perfect – they’re the ideal balance of classic and fun and I don’t notice them at all after I put them in! I have the mini size in gold, but they also come in silver and a mixed metal version!

tilted puzzle board

Tilted Puzzle Board
I’ve loved my puzzle board I bought last year, but this year I couldn’t help trying out a tilted version and oh. my. word am I in love with it. It has all the features I love of my other one (space for a 1500 piece puzzle, sorting drawers, and a spinning feature) but it also tilts up so your neck doesn’t get tired from bending over and the surface is just SLIGHTLY grippy so your pieces don’t slide off (although you can still manually slide them around with no issue).

90s shorts

Long Denim Shorts
Jen mentioned these shorts last month for her monthly favorite but I can’t help but mention them again because I bought them too and she wasn’t kidding – they are SO good. I’m extremely picky about shorts but this pair is an absolute home run and affordable!

And here’s what my team is loving right now:

Analese

wall calendar

Big Wall Calendar
I have a 12 year who is involved in A LOT of things, but doesn’t have a phone and doesn’t want to carry around a planner. With that being said, I needed her help to keep track of everything. She writes everything in on the calendar (which she has found very fun) and having her see what she has going on each day is a great visual to help her pack what she needs for school, if she needs to ask one of her siblings to take over walking the neighbors dogs, etc. This calendar for less than $10 has been the ticket to success and has helped both of our brainload immensely!

Jen

Patagonia Joggers

Patagonia Joggers
My husband has had the men’s version of these pants for a couple of years and he wears them all the time! (I know Janssen’s husband, Bart, has several pairs as well.) We saw that they have a women’s version now and he surprised me with a pair for my birthday. I think I wore them three days in a row after I got them. They are the perfect summer pants- so light weight that I don’t feel like I’m wearing anything. I like the tapered leg and athletic fit. Cute to go to lunch or go hiking!

Kelsey

Chambray Button Front Dress
I’m in LOVE with this dress! It is perfect for summer – the lightweight chambray keeps it cool and breezy, and the wrap style with a tie belt is so flattering! I especially love the neckline and how easy it is to wear. It would be absolutely darling for teachers! If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down.

Kristin

Quince French Terry Modal Wide Leg Pants
I finally ordered a few things from Quince after seeing a lot of their ads and was thrilled with just about everything I got. My favorite item was these super cozy pants that I want to wear every single day of my life! (This lightweight sweater was also a winner!)
