Elsewhere
(This reminded me, suddenly, of a book I reviewed in the very early days of this blog called Elsewhere).
(Also, you know what I love about blogging? That I can start a post with a sentence in parentheses. They never let you do that in college papers).
And. . .now to the real point.
A few people have mentioned recently that I don’t link to my Disney Baby posts very often which is 1) true and 2) extremely nice of anyone to even ask about.
So, would you mind if on Fridays I linked to my posts over there at the end of my regular post? If you have no interest, you can just go about your merry way and not click over, but if you ARE interested, then they’ll be all right there for easy consumption. I mean, Fridays are for blog reading, aren’t they?
I happened to write about a bazillion things this week, actually, so I’ll just link them allllllllll here and you can think, “Wow, as if one post wasn’t enough for me to read from you, Janssen.”
My friend and lovely neighbor, Kasee, runs an excellent food blog (check out these baked s’more bars – she brought these to a party and I was desperate for seconds, but everyone else had already scarfed them all by the time I got back. How unfortunate). I shared a chocolate caramel apple tart recipe (One word: Rolos) over there this week.
And over at Modern Parents, Messy Kids, I wrote about five of my favorite non-fiction books for parents.
Also, the Spoonful blog (Disney’s new cooking, craft, and celebration site) is up and running. I’m mainly doing recipes over there, with a couple of craft-y type things thrown in for good measure:
- Carrot Muffins (these were phenomenal)
- Make a Mini Smash Cake for a First Birthday
- Jazz Up Your Scrambled Eggs
- No-Bake (and Sugar/Gluten Free) Peanut Butter Cookies (Ella ate 5 of these yesterday)
And finally, Disney Baby:
- A Fringe Benefit of Nursing (spoiler: a great excuse to go be by yourself at a party)
- Parenting Advice from My Parents
- 10 Tips for Starting a Baby Book Club
- Everyone Guesses My Daughter is a Boy
Well, I’m pretty sure that’s more than enough of me to get your through your weekend. Possibly the rest of the month too.
Thank you! It's about time you starting linking to the Disney Baby posts! I've been reduced to going over there, searching by author, and then reading all of your posts. My fingers could hardly handle all the clicking it took. I'd much rather you do the work for me. 🙂
If you click the Disney button on the left, it takes you directly to Janssen's most recent post and her others are listed there too. Not so with the Spoonful link, however.
You're doing such awesome things. Thanks for sharing!
Goodness, your post about the (extra) benefit of nursing, sounds like absolute heaven! I always feel horribly guilty when out/away with other people and I kinda want to spend time on my own. Very few people understand how draining it can be if you're not an extrovert. Really looking forward to having a decent excuse to read or spend time on my own when I have a baby!
🙂
I am glad for the links! I really didn't have any idea how much you were writing. You are one busy lady! Now I'm going to go pin half of your posts.
Thanks for sharing all your posts! I loved reading them! I hope you'll keep linking up to your posts elsewhere 🙂 I agree with the fringe benefit of nursing too – as a fellow introvert, I appreciate the break from all the "face time" with a our family & friends and would get a nice little re-charge by taking a break to feed the baby. Makes me miss those days…
Loved all your links! I'm totally trying a couple of those recipes!
Thanks for the links! I'm not sure how you blog here AND there and take care of your kids and look cute all the time. You are super mama! 🙂
I'm glad you're linking now! For whatever reason, I can't get the Disney blogs in my reader, so I end up missing half of them. Thanks!
