I think a new rule needs to be established. When there is a barbeque or some other sort of meal where various people bring various foods, everyone needs to have their food there at the same time because otherwise you might make the horrendous mistake of filling up on hamburgers before the cheese and bread plate arrives. And then you will weep.
I guess that last paragraph tells you pretty much all you need to know about our holiday weekend. We went to a barbeque yesterday, ate some absolutely divine food (Andes Mint Brownies, I’m talking to you) and sat by the pool with dozens of friends for close to seven hours.
And on Saturday, we went to a fondue party.
So clearly you’ll understand that right now I need to go put on my tennis shoes and get myself to the gym.

Mmm. Andes mint brownies sound like a dream. Maybe I will make those the next time the baking urge hits me.
Jen says
Quick–someone please tell me how to make those brownies! Do you just make regular brownie batter and put chopped Andes mints in? I must know!
Kristi says
Lucky! Yes, I would love the recipe too! Sounds de-lish.
Science Teacher Mommy says
Um . . . cheese . . . must have.

Off topic, Janssen, have you seen this as a way to display your books o your blog? Being the book person you are, I thought you might like it.
