Book Deals for the Weekend of October 3rd
Our Halloween decorations are up, a festive puzzle is going on my puzzle board, and this fall candle is burning nonstop!
Cozy season is HERE!
If you’re hoping to snuggle up with a good book this weekend, here are some of my favorites on sale!

I Spy Spooky Night by Jean Marzollo, photographs by Walter Wick – hardcover – $8.39
I don’t often add physical books to my book deals, but this Halloween search and find book is a favorite in our house. It’s more than 40% off right now and my girls pull it out when our Halloween Reading Chart says “read a search and find book”.

The Little Ghost Who Was a Quiltby Riel Nason, illustrated by Byron Eggenschqiler – hardcover – $7.25
This is another hardcover book that was on too good of a sale not to share (62% off!!!). We have a copy of this one that I keep in our Halloween book bin that I pull out every October 1st. This is one of those Halloween books that feels like it could be 50 years old instead of newly released! Most little ghosts are made from sheets – but our little ghost? He’s made from a quilt. Which isn’t ideal. Until one chilly Halloween night when a quilt ghost is exactly what one little girl needs.

The Widow’s Broom by Chris Van Allsburg – hardcover – $9.30
And I might as well share this one too — it’s 58% off right now, so this is basically the perfect time to stock up your Halloween book bin (I always go hardcover since they hold up so much better). This is hands-down my #1 favorite Halloween book, and it’s by the same author/illustrator behind The Polar Express and Jumanji.

365 Connecting Questions for Couples by Casey Caston and Meygan Caston – ebook – $1.99
This one gives you a full year of open-ended questions designed to pull you and your partner out of the “schedules and logistics” rut and into deeper, more meaningful conversations. It sounds like such a simple, low-pressure way to keep learning about each other, no matter how long you’ve been together.

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir – ebook – $2.99
I was a massive fan of The Martian and LOVED Project Hail Mary just as much too! In this one, Ryland Grace wakes up in a spaceship with no idea where he is, what he’s supposed to do or even what his own name is. As memories slowly start returning, he remembers that the sun was dimming and that there were only a few decades to find both the problem and a solution before life on earth became unsustainable. And he’s now in outer space on a mission alone to save all of humanity. No pressure. It’s full of humor, suspense, and science that’s (mostly) understandable to the layperson.

Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It by Chris Voss & Tahl Raz – ebook – $2.99
I feel like I should have taken notes so I could refer back to the main points in this book, both for my business and my parenting. It’s such a good deal right now – I could purchase it and go back through. This one is worth the read!

The Wild Robot by Peter Brown – ebook – $2.99
The girls and I listened to this fun audiobook a few years ago and I’ve heard from SO MANY families that have loved this one too. And now with the movie out, it’s a great one to read the book and watch the movie!

The Lazy Genius Way by Kendra Adachi – ebook – $4.99
This book is perfect as you think about what you want and how you can achieve it in the most effortless way. I love her focus on finding what works for YOU, whether it’s the kind of thing that works for anyone else or not, and her kind, gentle-humored style. Whether you’re new to Kendra or are already a fan of her podcast, this book is terrific.

The Lost Husband by Katherine Center – ebook – $1.99
Katherine Center is one of my favorite authors, but I haven’t read this one yet (about a widowed mother who moves to her aunt’s goat farm) and with this deal, I might need to change that!

The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer – ebook – $2.99
Alex and Conner, sister-brother twins, open up a beloved book of stories only to find themselves sucked into the book. In a mysterious land where magic runs rampant, they find themselves interacting with fairy tale characters they’ve heard about all their lives. The real question is. . . can they ever get home? This series has been especially popular in my house!

Hercule Poirot: The Complete Short Stories by Agatha Christie – audiobook – $7.99
Agatha Christie’s most famous detective is back in this massive collection of 50 short stories, packed with all the kidnappings, poisonings, murders, and mysteries he’s known for solving. At $8 for 50 stories and over 35 hours of listening time, this one’s an absolute steal.

Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life by Christie Tate – audiobook – $5.99
I haven’t read this one yet, but it sounds like an intriguing memoir! From the outside, Christie Tate’s life looked wildly successful, but underneath she was struggling. This memoir follows her unexpected experience with group therapy and the relationships that ultimately helped her find the connection she’d been missing all along.

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion (Vol. 1 – Vol. 5) by Beth Brower
I can’t believe the first 5 books are on sale for under $3! If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I love this series! I had read the entire series twice before these came out on audio and I was so excited to try out the audio version – wait until you hear all the voices the narrator does! And if you struggled getting into the physical books, I’m telling you the audiobook really helps.
