Book Deals for Memorial Day Weekend
We’re road tripping this weekend, celebrating the beginning of summer with a trip to Mount Rushmore! (Bart and my girls have never been – I went with my family when I was a child and we were moving from Wisconsin to Las Vegas).
We’re spending lots of hours on the road listening to audiobooks (this is the one I downloaded for all of us to listen to together) and I DEFINITELY ordered another book of these folding puzzles when I was checking the price and my girls saw it on my computer and begged me to buy a new one for them – they’ve been the biggest hit this year on our trips and they’re 50% off right now!
And here are some favorite book deals this weekend!
Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella
Sophie Kinsella always comes up with the most ridiculous scenarios and then makes them so funny. I can’t help but to laugh my face off when I read her books. This is one of my favorite books of hers. Emma spills all of her secrets to a stranger she meets on a plane. But when that stranger becomes her new CEO at work, she realizes that he knows every embarrassing thing about her. How much worse could things get?
The Undomestic Goddess – by Sophie Kinsella
Sophie Kinsella’s books just delight me! I have read every single book published by her and this one is absolutely hilarious and a favorite of mine. Perfect summer read!
The Favorites by Layne Fargo
I think this might be one of my favorite books of 2025 so far…and WHOA, did I love the audiobook! It gives off Daisy Jones vibes, but about two ice dancing partners going for gold and all the drama that comes along with it! If you want to know more, I have an entire 30 second book review of it here.
Head Over Heels by Hannah Orenstein
This one was just a complete page-turner for me with a nice dose of romance. After a devastating performance shatters her Olympic dreams, Avery returns home years later to coach a rising gymnast. As she navigates an old crush and a painful past, she finds herself drawn into a journey of redemption and romance.
The Frindle Files by Andrew Clements
Andrew Clements is just a master of the school story, I would have to say that Frindle is his most popular one. In this LONG-awaited follow-up Gamer Josh dives into a no-tech mystery about his old-school teacher…and it might just earn him his screens back. The reviews are through the roof, so it must be good!
The Dutch House by Ann Patchett
Because her book, Tom Lake, was surprisingly wonderful, it makes me want to read The Dutch House. I have had so many followers over the years suggest it, and they have had STRONG words about how important it is to listen to the audio version read by Tom Hanks.
Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
I don’t recommend her books often because they are at the edge of what I’m comfortable suggesting to other people, but. . . .I totally love this one. If you love Emily Henry books, you might like this one too – I’ve read (I think) all her books and this one is still my favorite.
The Enemy by Sarah Adams
I have been a huge fan of Sarah Adams lately (her series When in Rome and Cheat Sheet, have been so fun!). In this one, June’s ready to serve sweet revenge on her high school enemy Ryan…until he shows up hotter than ever with three Michelin stars and a smirk that still haunts her. This is one enemies-to-lovers you won’t want to miss!
Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be by Becky Kennedy
I’ve read this one (you may follow her on Instagram!) and I loved it – so many good reminders and helpful principles for being the kind of parent I want to be.
