Book Deals for Easter Weekend
Umm, but HOW is it Easter again already?
I swear, these days just go faster and faster!
The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth – audiobook
I discovered Sally Hepworth last year when I read The Mother-in-Law and included it on the Summer Reading Guide and now I want to read ALLLLL her books! Such terrific, well-plotted stories about relationships and how they can go so right . . . or so wrong.
Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier – ebook
If I had to pick one spooky read, it would hands down be this one. I read it with my mom when I was in high school and have re-read it multiple times. It’s about a young woman who marries a rich widower, but feels like she can’t get out from under the shadow of his deceased first wife, Rebecca. It’s a classic for a reason (note that the first chapter is a bit slow and then you won’t be able to put it down).
So Good They Can’t Ignore You by Cal Newport
I LOVE Cal Newport (his book Deep Work is one of my all-time favorites) but I haven’t read this book. Needless to say, I snatched up an inexpensive copy immediately.
Cooking Class by Deanna F. Cook – hardcover
My girls LOVE to cook and I bought this kids cookbook years ago to use for weekly cooking classes when we homeschooled and it’s been a staple in our kitchen ever since. And I was glad to see that so many other families loved it too – when I asked for recommendations on Instagram, this author came up SO many times. And when it’s on sale for more than 50% off? Grab it now! (Baking Class, the companion cookbook, is also on the same sale!)
