Book Deals for April 25
I’m spending this weekend with my oldest daughter in Las Vegas (I grew up here so driving into the valley will never not feel like coming home) and in between catching a magic show and some fun meals out, we’re spending some quality time in the sunshine by the pool, which means lots of reading!
Here are some of my favorite book deals going on right now:

Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella – ebook – $1.99
Sophie Kinsella always comes up with the most ridiculous scenarios and then makes them so funny. I can’t help but to laugh my face off when I read her books. This is one of my favorite books of hers. Emma spills all of her secrets to a stranger she meets on a plane. But when that stranger becomes her new CEO at work, she realizes that he knows every embarrassing thing about her. How much worse could things get?

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion (Vol. 1 – Vol. 5) by Beth Brower – audiobook – $2.99
I can’t believe the first 5 books are on sale for under $3! If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I love this series! I had read the entire series twice before these came out on audio and I was so excited to try out the audio version – wait until you hear all the voices the narrator does! And if you struggled getting into the physical books, I’m telling you the audiobook really helps.

Outcast of Redwall (Book #8) by Brian Jacques – audiobook – $3.99
I grew up on Redwall – I’ve read some of them at least five times (and the full cast audio versions are stunning!) The Bellmaker (Book #7) is also full cast on sale for under $4!

Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan – audiobook – $4.99
I LOVE Julia Whelan’s audiobook narration (she narrates Book Lovers!) and her book that she wrote (and narrated!) was an instant best seller. This book is especially fun because it’s all about the world of audiobook narrating. The main character, Sewanee, used to be an actress, but now she has moved into audiobook narration. She got her start in romance novels which she’s decided to leave that behind her, but she gets roped into doing one last romance project. This final project ends up being with the most popular male audiobook narrator of the romance genre, Brock McKnight. You will definitely want to listen to this one on audio! Heads up for one brief open door scene.

The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop – audiobook – $5.00
This was the first book I listened to in 2025 and the audio is a MUST! It has Kelly Bishops very distinct voice – plus, it’s so fun to hear a memoir read by the author themselves. It is quick, engaging, and a great combination of things I did know (Gilmore Girls!) and things I didn’t know (everything ELSE about her life besides being on Gilmore Girls).

The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center – audiobook – $4.99
I love Katherine Center (her books have snagged Summer Reading Guide spots on multiple occasions) and I think this might be my new favorite of hers about a woman who gets hired to help rewrite a screenplay with her screenwriter idol. Will sparks fly? OF COURSE THEY WILL.

Max and the MidKnights by Lincoln Pierce – ebook – $1.99
If you have a son who wants to read chapter books, but still wants a few pictures throughout – this series is a great one to pick up. Max’s dream of becoming a knight is very, very unlikely. However, he’s forced into action when his Uncle is kidnapped by the evil King.

Hemlock & Silver by T. Kingfisher – audiobook – $4.99
Fantasy isn’t usually my go-to, but give me a fairy tale retelling and I’m all in, especially one like this Snow White twist. A poison-drinking healer (yes, really) is called to save a dying princess, but when her remedies fail, she follows the only lead she has into a dark, eerie world hidden inside a magic mirror – where saving the princess might cost her everything.

What I Ate in One Year (and related thoughts) by Stanley Tucci – audiobook – $5.00
I absolutely LOVED his memoir (which was all about how food impacted his life), and this one sounds equally as intriguing – it follows Tucci for 12 months as he eats his way through restaurants, at his house, abroad, and more.

Stolen Focus: Why You Can’t Pay Attention–and How to Think Deeply Again by Johann Hari – ebook – $2.99
I was absolutely blown away after reading this one and couldn’t stop talking about it to anyone who would listen. This non-fiction book explores the ways that we are losing our ability to focus, both as adults and as children. And in turn, that affects how we act, make decisions, interact with others and so much more. It gives some advice on how to reclaim your focus and attention and I loved every minute of it!
