Book Deals for a September Weekend
I’m in California with my sisters and my mom this weekend for a little girls’ trip, so you can imagine that I’m not spending a lot of time reading and instead a whole lot of time staying up too late and laughing and chatting.
But there are so many good book deals this weekend that I scooped up to read when I get home (or for the plane ride).
Book Deals for a September Weekend
The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America’s Shining Women by Kate Moore – ebook
Just this week, Ella came home from school telling me all about the story of these women which they’d learned about in science and when this book popped up on super sale, it felt like it was time to read it!
Don’t Overthink It: Make Easier Decisions, Stop Second-Guessing, and Bring More Joy to Your Life by Anne Bogel – ebook
I read this one at the beginning of 2020, just a few weeks before the whole world shut down and it turned out to be very timely. It’s a quick read with lots of applicable ideas – highly recommend!
The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow – ebook
My assistant Jen raved about this book she read for her neighborhood book club. It starts out set in the early 1900’s telling the story of January Scaller, a peculiar little girl with an affinity for adventure. She lives with the wealthy and influential Mr. Locke who is a collector of mysterious artifacts and treasures. On an outing January discovers with the help of an old book left in her possession that she can open doors to other worlds. It’s through these doors she finds where she came from and the truths about her past.
One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ebook
For another week, this book is a great deal! Imagine if the love of your life died in a plane crash and then, when you’d finally moved on, it turned out he wasn’t dead at all. I stayed up WAYYYYY too late reading this one. You can also add on the audiobook for less than $5 if you prefer to listen. (Full review here).
