6 Book Deals for a Mid February Weekend
This has been an incredibly busy week for me so I’m very much looking forward to a quiet weekend at home (plus the celebration of my baby turning 8! HOW?!).
I picked up a big stack of library holds on Thursday so I’m set for a great weekend of reading.
Here are some book deals you may want to check out!
The PLAN: Manage Your Time Like a Lazy Genius by Kendra Adachi – ebook – $1.99
This book is the ULTIMATE time management book! In her kind, gentle-humored style, Kendra shares an extremely practical guide on how to manage your time while living the life you truly want (not tied to crazy productivity). Whether you’re new to Kendra or are already a fan of her podcast or The Lazy Genius Way, this book is terrific.
The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson – ebook – $2.99
One of my all-time favorite book club reads, this terrific book chronicles the exodus of nearly six million Black individuals and families from the Southern states to the West Coast and Northern cities between 1915 to 1970 and focuses on three specific people that each go to a different city in a different decade.
A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young – ebook – $7.99
I absolutely LOVED her book The Unmaking of June Farrow (we read it in January for Everyday Reading Book Club). I’d love to read another one of her books and this one about a young women returning home after her twin brother’s suspicious death and sensing he’s guiding her to uncover the truth, was just released. Sounds intriguing!
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan – audiobook – $5.99
This is such a fun read if you like books like Emily Henry’s Book Lovers (although this is less steamy than her books). When Nora’s script gets picked up for a romantic comedy and then the incredibly popular leading man ends up staying at her house during shooting. . . well, things are going to go off-script. I loved this one.
The Star That Always Stays by Anna Rose Johnson – audiobook – $1.99
I read this to my girls last year and I am so happy to see it on sale! It follows Norvia who loves her Ojibwe heritage but when her family moves to the city in 1914, her mother wants her to pretend she’s not Native, including to her new stepfather and stepbrother. And as if that isn’t enough, a world on the verge of world war gives her plenty of other things to worry about. (This one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)
Head Over Heels by Hannah Orenstein – audiobook – $5.99
This one was just a complete page-turner for me with a nice dose of romance. After a devastating performance shatters her Olympic dreams, Avery returns home years later to coach a rising gymnast. As she navigates an old crush and a painful past, she finds herself drawn into a journey of redemption and romance.
